Most of the vendors that are set up are selling their used items, but I always seem to find a gem. They have a lot of old records. I would steer very wide and clear of this once great and friendly furniture store. They used to be…read morea wholesome and friendly family owned institution in this small-town. Now not so much. I have never felt so insulted not only as a long time customer with well over $20,000 in lifetime purchases but also as someone who would have considered the owners friends. I will not give account specifics to my issues with this business but I will advise you if you decide to purchase from this business to do the following. -Keep every receipt be it a purchase receipt or a payment receipt. - Go over the math on the receipts and don't just take what's written for granted. Match them up with precious receipts and purchase amounts. Sometimes it just doesnt match up. -Deal only with debit or credit cards. Do not hand anyone any cash, ever. If you do have to use cash, absolutely do not give it to anyone but the owners and do absolutely get a receipt with which you double check the amounts and all pertinant information on. -Wouldnt be a bad idea to keep notes of anything that is said during your interactions or even click the record button on the audio recorder on your cell phone. Legally fine to do so with the laws in the area this business operates. Seems like one thing that's said one day can be quickly forgotten the next and then turned on you like your memory is poor or your just a liar, and a person can get right nasty sometimes. Took my 20+ year opinion of someone who I found to be a pillar of the community and flushed it. -Remember also that the smile and the friendly chat even over a 20 year time frame can turn into a person being talked to like they are a lowdown dirty lowlife in the blink of an eye. Turns out Them there pearly whites and giant grin are those of a salesman, not someone who truly cares or will own up to their own mistakes after their dollar is made. Its a darn shame to not be able to admit your own faults, faulty processes, shoddy bookkeeping, and lack of character when it comes to treating a man who prides himself on his own word as a liar. Pawns get okay prices on pawns and repayment is not too bad if are paying cash to claim back, but otherwise they charge $10 to use a card (which is a lot more than any card company I know of charges). Was 2 days late on pawn because of bad weather (which I believe they closed early or was not open for anyway) but was charged an extra $40 for which there was no mention of that when I called. Result, I guess is okay if are using cash and find fees and prices okay. Otherwise, might be worth a drive to find another.

The market is located in one of the most historic towns in the state. Beverly was one of the oldest settlements West of the Appalachians, and the colonial, Federal and Civil War architectural relics are everywhere in town. And in the middle of it, lies Campbell's Market. Entering Campbell's market is a trip back to the days of country general stores. There is a little bit of everything in the dry goods department, baking goods, canned items, local jams and marmelades, and then in the rear of the store, the piece de resistance, the meat counter. Campbell's meat selection is as fresh as any butcher can make it. The steaks are flawless and can be cut in front of you. Their briskets are gigantic. The selections of ground beef are varied and fresh. And the charcuterie items are on the sides. An expansive collection of cheeses completes the store. If you're spending several days in Snowshoe, Seneca Rocks or the Elkins area, a visit to Campbell's is a must.

My friends and I were headed up from Columbus, OH to the North Fork Mountain trail to do some backpacking. I have some serious allergies and take Claritan D daily...something I had forgotten at home. We walked into the store at 9:50 only to find the pharmacy closed. I knocked on the window and the pharmacist said he had shutdown for the night and couldn't start the computers back up to get me what I needed. So I was pretty much screwed. I went to the over-the-counter section looking for something that might work on something in combination that might work and when it got to 10pm, they cashiers shut off part of the lights in the store, which I'm not even sure is legal? They should have been straightening up the mess of a store instead of leaving it for the morning crew. Products were spread all around, trash was on the floor, and many things needed restocked including their 1 gallon water containers. There is no water on NFM, and one of my buddies was a gallon short yet no one would go in the back and get him one. So much for southern hospitality. I hope their corporate office sees this and finds out their overpaid pharmacists are checking out early.
