It took me one year to obtain a space for my business…read more Once I got the space (through another vendor) I learned that the facility is being run by men who don't speak english.... or care to communicate clearly with the vendors, who only speak english. For 6 months, I exhausted my funds, energy, and potential as a vendor trying to schedule a meeting with anyone that could provide some clear answers for my questions so that I could continue to invest in my booth and advertise it to the public! Over time, I noticed every flyer I hung was being torn down by the men who run the market. I noticed I was unable to contact anyone for help when needed. I noticed that someone (they will not tell me their names) would only be available to me to pick up my rent payment-- which always occurred when I was distracted taking care of customers. These vendors deserve the space and opportunity to build their businesses in our town. They are being held back by the lack of support from the building owners. The only people willing to accept this lack of clarity in their business handlings, are those who have not invested much. The culture of this market needs to change. No amount of building improvements or cleaning will improve the experience for vendors and shoppers alike.

Including a great deli to buy your meats or you can have a sandwich made. They were pretty busy when we went in so we just looked. They have a delicious homemade pizza crust and you can buy the toppings for it. I like the spices, dried fruit and baking isles the best. Stop by and take a look. Great little store.

Some items are a bargain, others are cheaply made or product carries a smaller amount of items for the dollar price. The design of the registers, store doors, grocery carts, and front products were not thought out well when the store was designed. It's a highly cluttered area. I will return to shop here even though it's not perfect.

I like Big Lots. When I come in and have to deal with a rude cashier that looks like is the…read moreassistant manager, I lose my appetite to shop. I had come in to get a small bag to use for carrying extra stuff bought on my trip to Ohio. It was nine dollars. I was in line at 11am, and in conversation with a senior citizen, when the cashier, Todd, was rude when the nice lady simply asked if he had swiped her reward card. I was very sharp with her about it the coupons coming in her email. I don't care how a store chooses to issue coupons, but you need to be nice to your customer especially senior ones. It did not stop there. When I got up to the check our he was rude in telling me to swipe my debit card again. There is always a way to instruct someone nicely without being rude. I pay this pains salary my one purchase was probably what he makes in an hour. Rudeness ends loyalty. I am huge on loyalty to a store, I travel a lot, I will go to a chain to get what I know they have. That is why I came to BIG Lots, I knew I would find a cash for cheap.
