We were looking for a different grocery experience than Walmart and Food City. We live a little bit…read moreof a drive (25 minutes), and we are kind of out in the country so nothing is convenient to us and thought we would give this place a try. The staff was friendly, the store was clean, the isles were wide, the shelves were stocked, there were no lines at checkout and it was quiet and easy to shop (even at noon on a Saturday). We will definitely be back and use this place more often. May even make this our regular grocery store.

They do not restock many of their items that were sold by IGA. I purchased their store brand of cinnamon and it smelled and tasted like perfume. The store itself smells like rotted meat. Their floors are always dirty and they have cut their staff in half. Their prices have tripled on most items. For example, their 6 pk of Mountain Dews are $7.50 , popsicles are $8 a box , just to name a couple. I HATE this store and I miss IGA so much. IGA was a community grocery store, they employed local high school kids, donated to locale business and their prices were always reasonable. You didn't have to purchase 5 six packs of Mountain Dews in order to get them at a decent price. I wish people would just stop shopping there and let ANYONE else come and purchase the store. I apologize for such a long review I think I just had to vent more than anything. I almost never review any business but this store is just so wrong a negative review was necessary.

He wanted tarps, and picked up a few items, I was in search of books, they have a huge collection. We got lost in the book area and hubby and I had lots of fun showing each other what we found! Way fun!!! I found hubby's favorite gummy bears. SCORED The check out was smooth, and the cashier was really sweet, nice folks working. The place was ravished in areas, very busy. Employees were all about straightening up.

Well well well. First and last trip to Ollies today, Knoxville, TN, 4:40pm, if Ollies would like to…read morelook up the POS employee I am amount to tell y'all about. It was my first time to Ollies and I was super excited. Started to fill my cart up, feeling the Christmas shopping bug and holiday spirit. Then I get to the rug section to look at a few rugs. A lady a few feet away from me kindly asked the young employee if he could help her look at a rug because it was under a pile. He looked at her like she asked him to dig to China on his day off, then he marched over and said, which one? I'll jut let you imagine his tone of voice. She showed him the rug and this is when I couldn't look away. He said, and I will quote almost exactly, " That is an ugly rug. You want that one, you actually like it? She said, "Well, I like the rug. He said, Whatever you want, but that's an extremely ugly rug. I couldn't help myself, so I had to ask if they knew each other. She said no. Shocked, I said, "If you were my son, I would give you a piece of my mind, you should never speak to a customer that way. A few men that were walking near me popped up and agreed with me. What a bitter miserable human being to want to speak to another person that way. He just smirked at us. I had to walk away because it was too crazy to confront any further. I said my piece. I was told there were no managers to speak with, so I am here. It's a shame, because I believe in giving businesses a chance to resolve issues on their own before going to the internet, but they don't care. I was super nice on the phone and told them I just need to make Ollies aware of the situation so that they could speak with the employee about his behavior or maybe he need to go home and sleep his anger off. Someone needs to have an adult conversation with that kid. Either that or he is trying to get fired or in a confrontation. I was born and raised in East Tennessee. People don't treat each other that way around here. That is what makes Knoxville so special. Okay, I have said my piece and hopefully Ollies brings up ethics and the importance of kindness in one of their meetings. It's the holidays people! P.S. I put back all the things that were in my cart and left. I will never be back. Zero stars
