The staff was friendly, the store was clean, the isles were wide, the shelves were stocked, there were no lines at checkout and it was quiet and easy to shop (even at noon on a Saturday). They do not restock many of their items that were sold by IGA. I purchased their store brand of cinnamon and it smelled and tasted like perfume. The store itself smells like rotted meat. Their floors are always dirty and they have cut their staff in half. Their prices have tripled on most items. For example, their 6 pk of Mountain Dews are $7.50 , popsicles are $8 a box , just to name a couple. I HATE this store and I miss IGA so much. IGA was a community grocery store, they employed local high school kids, donated to locale business and their prices were always reasonable. You didn't have to purchase 5 six packs of Mountain Dews in order to get them at a decent price. I wish people would just stop shopping there and let ANYONE else come and purchase the store. I apologize for such a long review I think I just had to vent more than anything. I almost never review any business but this store is just so wrong a negative review was necessary.

My wife has celiac and Aldi is one of the only place in Knoxville to get GF stuffing mix. They also have a great selection of GF products that you can't really find in other stores. The store itself is very clean and always well stocked, however the produce is not great. Every time I get produce here it is old and wilting or very close to spoiling. There is never more than one person checking out customers. In fact, there is never more than 2-3 employees in the store at any given time. Which, I understand is how the store maintains its low prices, but for me this is a bad business model. If you are wanting 1-2 items, you will be waiting in line for 10-15min. That's the reason for only 3 stars. Wait time and the lack of help within the store. All in all, I love the Gluten Free section, but I would never buy full grocery's here.

She was being derogatory towards my boyfriend, and using hateful language at him during the entire transaction as well as making an ugly comment while we left. We are a gay couple, and this HAS happened at this location prior and nothing was done about it. We were targeted for simply shopping, nothing we did was worthy of that type of ugliness. We just shopped. And when I tried to call managment there was nothing but rudeness when I was trying to get my point across I was interrupted several times. And told that the woman on staff I was calling about WASNT there. Which I know to be a lie, I was in there only a few minutes before calling and personally experienced this. I had to raise my voice and cut the store manager off several times in order for him to even listen to anything I had to say because of his rude attitude.
