If this is supposed to be a convenience store then they are not succeeding. And why is it that as soon as I am ready to check out a ton of other people dash to checkout at the same time ahead of me and I end up in a long line with one employee on the register? Walmart is getting slightly better at their check out times due to self check out and they are looking a LOT more appealing to me right now and may be worth the extra drive up the street just to avoid the chaos that has become Dollar General. My husband went in there for some of his favorite deodorant spray and could not find it. Cashier told him that it was probably still in one of the many boxes lying around and not unpacked yet. And yes, the store is huge with a large frozen department, plenty of produce and a nice looking deli (which does not start making sandwiches until 11am). I was able to find what I wanted and make a nice lunch for myself in the van. A hoagie roll in the toaster, some sliced cheese, some marinara sauce and a few meatballs from a bag of frozen meatballs.
