Worst treatment by store employee....ever. It's rare that I waste my time with a negative review, but I must document the horrible egregious service that I encountered at this location. Clearly, the young lady working should not be in any type of customer service role, as she provided the opposite. I arrived 30 minutes prior to closing and quickly gathered up items in a cart. 20 minutes prior to closing she started informing me in an unnecessarily rude, and nasty tone. At first, I disregarded it as just another person with a miserable personality stemming from a miserable life (which I normally sympathize is sad). At about 15 minutes prior to closing her reminders increased to every 30-60 second; each time getting louder and more aggressive. She would threaten that if I didn't check out now (5-10 minutes prior to closing) , the registers would shut down and I would be unable to check out. This was not only an obvious bold face lie wrapped up in a power trip., but also seriously offended and insulted my intelligence. It makes me wonder what other crazy lies. She tries to push on customers. She must seriously be lacking in intelligence and common sense if she thought i, or anyone else, would believe her demands that made no sense and such a aggressive confrontational way. I told her I would be at the register before closing which she refused to believe. I'm not a child though she certainly treated me like one. The only option to check out is self check out, so it's not like she is doing much work or any type of service for a loyal customer (formally loyal). I approached a self at checkout with three minutes to spare. The front door is still unlocked for anyone to come in then she proceeded to tell me how lucky I am to complete my purchase (within post business hours, which is crazy to me.m). I decided to leave my cart full of merchandise in front of her at self check out. I'm sure she spent much more time putting away all my items as it would've taken for me to ring up and self check out. The store should not list 10 PM as closing time, when customers are expected to be ringing out their stuff at 9:45 PM, 15 minutes prior to closing. (not to mention what would happen if a new customer walked into the unlocked front doors). There's some other options in the area that deserve my loyalty and money. Certainly somewhere that won't treat me like a child and blatantly lied to my face so they can close the store 10 minutes early. I shop at night time for a reason, every single one of your competitors are more than happy to accommodate me. There is no way that lady should be working in customer service. I was always taught and raised that I am beneath no one.... But I'm confident I can make an exception in this lady's case, it's clear to see her behavior is beneath me and beneath the common person. I sadly shudder to think what happened in her life to make her feel comfortable speaking to strangers, paying customers, and such a way. I would hate to see how she treats the people that matter in her life (if she has any). Any person with basic self-respect would not allow the treatment... even through all this, I'm going to bet she still positions herself as the victim. Unfortunate. Sad. I make every effort to avoid people like her and my quality of life is much better for it. Perhaps you should consider a career in a waste removal, so she can be amongst her own kind. read more
