This one is a bit hidden, as it sits behind a lot of other shops and stores, just look for the sign, as the building itself is hard to see from the street. It's a small one, it's a one entry building, not the 2 or 3 entry mega boxes in the large cities, this is small and compact. The store was clean. For a Tuesday night it had a LOT of teenage kids huddled up in crowds in the middle of the aisles. Not the stores fault, but an inconvenience. This one is set up very similar to other locations. Entry on the grocery side, pharmacy and housewares to the left, clothes in the middle, electronics in the back. Staff was busy, a few actually greeted us and asked if we needed help finding something. Part of the small town charm, that interaction is rare in our larger town. Hidden small store, only one way in and out, yet it has everything (that we saw) that the larger boxes have.

I was excited see that they had Cherry 7-Up which I haven't seen or had in while. They have a little selection of different brands of beer & wine here as well.

It's always fresh and so good. The last time I was there I bought a $10 pack of their seasoned fajitas and cooked them tonight. They were AMAZING. It was a great deal as it had 2 packages of chicken and 1 steak fajitas. It also comes with salsa and tortillas. They were amazing. I hope they have them the next time I go back.

Brookshire's tonic water was listed at $1.39, but I was charged $2.19, which is a 58% increase. Neither item appeared not to be on sale. When I brought this to the attention of the assistant manager, I was informed that the higher price was due to not having a rewards card. This is contrary to what I was told approximately two years ago, which was that, "The Thank You Card Program was being discontinued at the end of the year." It is very dishonest for a store to serve customers and commuters in this small community neighbor to a church so unorthodox, especially when vulnerable people like seniors and the elderly are involved. Their actions are not only a privacy invasion but also highly deceptive and discriminating .

I wasn't feeling well; I was dizzy and worried about bending over to put the sacks in my car. I told her that and she was very nice and helpful about it. Most of the aisles were cluttered and full. It was hard to get through the aisles to find my groceries because the stockers were taking up so much space. They didn't offer to move. It was frustrating and difficult to get through the aisles. The sidewalk by the entrance to the store was filled with foul smelling cigarette smoke. You could smell it all the way inside the door. It has been that way every time I have come for the past two months. I've come on different days of the week and at different times. I asked the manager today about the situation with the man smoking on the bench in front of their door. He is there every day. It smells awful. She was emphatic that Brookshire's does not care if the smoke is offensive to their customers. She said she doesn't care if they lose customers because of it. She said that there is nothing that she will do about it. I said I may go somewhere else to shop and she said OK. No apologies or offers to help with the situation. She was condescending and seemed to enjoy telling me that she would do nothing to make the situation better. I've shopped here for 40 years and I'm really sad about shopping somewhere else but it was really a bad experience except for my sacker and checker. I don't know the manager's name. She did not tell me and did not have a name tag. She has heart shaped glasses. I hope someone at Brookshire's looks into this because it used to be a nice place to shop.
