Had a good time at the pharmacy somebody had the same birthday as mine in a few days and then the…read moreother lady that I called earlier and talked to she was there and was checking me out and then got the other lady and we all had a great time I was in in a good mood until I go get a few things from United grocery and everything falls apart get the wrong chicken breast so I went back all the way in and got the right ones my mistake but I did ask a assistant manager there at the store and had him come and be sure to verify them the right ones and he said yes and then I go up and waste 20 minutes arguing with the lady and putting out the guy that was just up there to check out something the assistant manager and it just cost a lot of excitement because he didn't know but he said he did and then the fruit has changed you only get the deal if you pick up or get it delivered I mean I was losing the battle I've already wasted 20 minutes and I was done so I just left I didn't buy nothing but is this how it's going to be everything changes you don't get deals until you do something special flip upside down backwards crazy just tell us the food at a decent price and give us a good deal without doing crazy crap you already got to be a member to buy groceries how insane is this . I know that's the way it is but it's not right and if you don't get the deals at United they're already so Sky High anyway it's horrible that's the only reason I come is to get the deals and then you don't get them unless you do exactly what they say get it delivered or pick it up and I didn't see that I've never seen that I've been getting fruit on sale there taking it to my sister at the nursing home but that's how it goes everything's changing and it's going to get worse it's going to get worse . Deli: The deli is absolutely useless. They only fix a tray…read moreof food, whether entre or sides to complete about 10 plates. They do not fix anymore until that tray is empty, so most of the time you have to wait 10 to 20 minutes, or more, to get your choices. Especially true on the lunch specials. There is a much more efficient way to serve your customers a hot fresh meal, without making them wait. This is a product and time management issue. United, either get it right or shut it down, but please stop wasting your customers precious time.

Best of all, the air conditioning was amazing--a huge relief from the Texas heat. Overall, it was a great shopping experience but customer service was lacking here.

I have been buying an item for $2.99 for several years, but today, I was charged $6.99, which is a…read more134% increase. The shelf label indicated $2.99. Brookshire's tonic water was listed at $1.39, but I was charged $2.19, which is a 58% increase. Neither item appeared not to be on sale. When I brought this to the attention of the assistant manager, I was informed that the higher price was due to not having a rewards card. This is contrary to what I was told approximately two years ago, which was that, "The Thank You Card Program was being discontinued at the end of the year." It is very dishonest for a store to serve customers and commuters in this small community neighbor to a church so unorthodox, especially when vulnerable people like seniors and the elderly are involved. Their actions are not only a privacy invasion but also highly deceptive and discriminating .

I wasn't feeling well; I was dizzy and worried about bending over to put the sacks in my car. I told her that and she was very nice and helpful about it. Most of the aisles were cluttered and full. It was hard to get through the aisles to find my groceries because the stockers were taking up so much space. They didn't offer to move. It was frustrating and difficult to get through the aisles. The sidewalk by the entrance to the store was filled with foul smelling cigarette smoke. You could smell it all the way inside the door. It has been that way every time I have come for the past two months. I've come on different days of the week and at different times. I asked the manager today about the situation with the man smoking on the bench in front of their door. He is there every day. It smells awful. She was emphatic that Brookshire's does not care if the smoke is offensive to their customers. She said she doesn't care if they lose customers because of it. She said that there is nothing that she will do about it. I said I may go somewhere else to shop and she said OK. No apologies or offers to help with the situation. She was condescending and seemed to enjoy telling me that she would do nothing to make the situation better. I've shopped here for 40 years and I'm really sad about shopping somewhere else but it was really a bad experience except for my sacker and checker. I don't know the manager's name. She did not tell me and did not have a name tag. She has heart shaped glasses. I hope someone at Brookshire's looks into this because it used to be a nice place to shop.
