This place has plenty of space so even when it's busy, I never once had an issue with not being able to find a seat. Commongrounds is the only coffee shop (that I know of) in Brownwood/Early besides Starbucks and unfortunately, the coffee here is not my favorite- I've tried their coffee 3 or 4 times and it wasn't for me. I feel like the coffee here tastes a little watered down and I don't get the roasted coffee bean flavor that I crave. As for the food here, it's a hit or miss. I tried their BLT sandwich but I would personally skip it. The bacon was too crunchy and hard (it reminded me of those bacon bits that you put on top of salads). If that's your thing, go for it but it was personally not for me. Something I thoroughly enjoyed from their food menu was their breakfast burritos. I've tried their green chile chicken w/avcado burrito as well as their brisket burritos and they were both delicious! And when you add their homemade red and/or green sauce, it's even better. That being said, I tried their 'bowl' version and it's just the filling of the burrito without the tortilla andI didn't think it was worth it. Overall, Comongrounds Coffee is a great spot to catch up with friends or get some work done (they have outlets towards the back as well as wifi). I'm not quite sure how this place has such a high rating. Maybe the coffee drinkers of Brownwood aren't aware but this coffee is not it, super mid.. They don't have Matcha. They have some sort of pre-sweeten powder mix that they use and claim it's Matcha... I mean, I guess "it's fine" if that's the only option you have, but I figured in a college town there would be at least one coffee shop that can make a Matcha. AnyWho, the staff was very nice and accommodating even though the coffee was mid at best. read more

Fix your menu and Horrible service. Menu clearly says "pomegranate, Green.." as tea options. when I received a pomegranate green tea, I nicely asked to change for green tea and was told that's all they had. (What coffee shop doesn't have green tea?) okay fine. I then asked if I could get a different one of what they do have. Just to get met with a bad attitude and pushback from scally cap dude. So because your menu doesn't accurately represent your stock I have to drink something I don't what? Then to give me attitude as if you're doing me a favor for fixing my drink? A drink I just paid $5 for .10¢ worth of tea leaves. Respectfully, Starbucks wouldn't have acted that way. I took my tea to go. Just for it to NOT BE WHAT I ORDERED. If I'm ever in Brownwood, TX again this place is a MUST visit. It is decorated so cute on the inside and has another of character. They def took time in designing and decorating the inside. I was also impressed with the customer service we received from the girl up front who took our order to both girls that brought our food and drinks. We did have coffee and a smoothie also and they were phenomenal. I'm a coffee addict and my drink was perfect!! My girls ordered a cinnamon roll and burrito and both devoured before I could snap pics. The salad was delicious and fresh. I wish we had this place in our part of Texas lol...def would come back! read more

The Ambiance & food is awesome. Service is great and the employees are very, friendly, professional, and very helpful, especially Pablo and Seth- you guys ROCK !!! I was pleasantly surprised to find this really fantastic coffee / tea / ice cream spot in Brownwood Texas. The place looks to be in an old fire station or gas station and it had the huge doors and the interior was comfortable and modern. The barista team had really great customer service and everyone seemed to be having a good time at work. The iced latte I ordered was on point made the morning for me. Great space to check email, chill or take some time out of the day. If you in Brownwood you should definitely check it out. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Ordered a Green Tea from the menu and was given a Pomegranate tea, requested a tea change and owner started arguing stating there was so plain green tea but agreed to change it for another tea. Stating "he was making an exception for us". Then we proceeded to sit down at a table to wait for our meal. When the food came out the same owner or manger stated we could not eat at the table. If you do not want customers to sit at the tables please remove your furniture. If you are worried customers will get it dirty TAKE IT HOME!!! On our way out he was arguing on why our service was poor. He has a terrible attitude and has no respect for others. BEWARE OF TERRIBLE MANAGER SERVICE. read more

Great ambience and service. I got the coconut bliss iced latte, so tasty and creamy. With that I got the BLT everything bagel sandwich. It had the perfect amount of cream cheese and was so big I had the rest for lunch. We didn't dine in but ordered inside- there was beautiful live music on a Saturday morning. If you are in town and need a nice lunch that is not chain, this is your place. The coffee is wonderful. Mind you I like my cream with a little coffee. I don't drink it black. I order the dulce de leche, and I have since been back to order it again. This time I had lunch. I had the Cajun chicken wrap. Very good. Light, fresh and little spicy. The coffee shop is inside an old fire station house and it decorated nicely, but if you can, sit outside. You are on one of the main intersections in town. Driving from Abilene to Austin and decided to stop for breakfast at Common Grounds. Absolutely delicious!! I ordered the migas plate and hubby ordered the Belgian Waffle, served with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and strawberries. We both ordered a hot cup of mocha latte. The staff was cheerful and helpful and the owner was welcoming and gracious. They also have an ice cream bar and serve rolled ice cream. Looked delicious!
