Our church small group wanted to celebrate one of our kids, who lost his first tooth while shopping and went on quite the adventure to find it in a different local store earlier this week. That gave us the idea to make our small group snack this weekend a bespoke snaggled -tooth, pull-apart cake. AI generated the image, and the bakery manager (I believe his name is Mark) knew just how to realize it. I knew I could trust Publix to catch the vision and make it happen. They did not disappoint and even made the bow tie our small group kid's favorite color. Publix stores are known for their excellent customer service and delicious prepared foods. Publix does very little wrong! but I had a conversation yesterday with the on duty manager about this store being out of a basic never run out of item 2 weeks ago SUGAR there was not a box or bag in the store. There is a unwritten rule in the business certain things you just never be out of. Those are sugar, bread,eggs,milk and add water to that in today's world. I am just saying you can't let the computer do all your thinking and ordering for you. Publix you can do better than that. The only other thing I can complain about this store is the amount of prebaged produce with damaged or spoiled items. this is normally caused by rough handling while putting on a display. We were at the lake and our kitchen isn't conveniently stocked like our kitchen at home. They had pre-made kabobs that were already marinated. They had different choices of marinate flavors. They had beef or chicken. It really made grilling easier. The store was well stocked and clean. The employees were motivated and cared about customer service. This is my new go-to store at the lake!

I have always considered Harris Teeter one of the more costly grocery stores in this area, but that is not accurate. After a few trips into this store to pick up a few items that aren't carried across the street (at Food Lion), I realized that Harris Teeter is often times a lot less expensive. From now on... The guy on the scissor lifts practically raced me in to the store. They have ZERO business running a scissor lift around when customers are still shopping. The bad, some items are only seasonal so sometimes you might have craving for a specialty item that is no longer available. Also, at peak time, it may take a few minutes to open up additional registers to pay for your items, not ideal if you are rushing but if you are seasoned customer, you take it in stride.

This location/store, in my opinion, has…read morealways been fairly organized but as with any discount store such as this there are often days when you go in and it looks like cyclones have been through. I feel this location/store is rather small and that could add to the messy feel at times. Despite having to pick up misplaced items or sort through the hodgepodge (mostly in the clearance section), I love to shop at any TJ Maxx to save money on brand name items, especially clothing for my son and I and shoes for me! Saving money on brand name clothing is especially important when you have teenagers that insist on being trendy or "branded" as I call it. Please note the clothing is past/previous year so all teens may not go for this! This store has plenty of brand name clothing for men, women and children but only has shoes for women. However, this is standard for TJ Maxx. I feel this location doesn't have as many big brands like The North Face, Hilfiger or my personal favorite, Lucky Brand as other locations but that could be because those items don't sell as well in our small town. Bigger brand equal bigger price tag even here at TJ Maxx! This store has a good selection of luggage and purses, as well as home goods. I have often found good buys in the home goods section. It's kind of like going on a treasure hunt of sorts! Some people like to go to yard sales, flea markets or Goodwill but I prefer TJ Maxx for my bargain scores! TJ Maxx is a really great place to shop for gifts at Christmas, too! There's generally an entire area at the end of the women's clothing section specifically dedicated to inexpensive gifts. Yes, another score for me! I, also, like their specialty foods section, jewelry and pet section. I found dried persimmons a couple years ago and now my Dad is hooked on them. I see/purchase 2-3 bags during the Christmas season. Not sure if it's a seasonal item or not. I have purchased numerous watches and jewelry pieces from TJ Maxx over the years! I purchase my pet beds here, too! This location is my go to store because TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop in and it's convenient! If I don't find what I'm looking for here, I just go to a larger one in a surrounding town. Do yourself a favor and go on a treasure hunt in this TJ Maxx today! You never know what goodies you'll find until you start digging, especially in the clearance section at the back of the store! I've never had an issue with poor customer service at this location but in my experiences, you don't really interact with staff until you reach the registers for check out. The time before this it was the nasty attitude of the cashier and the fact she laid my change on the counter instead of handing it back to me as I handed it to her! No common courtesy at all! I swore I would not go ack but due to my mother staying in Salisbury it was the closest Honey Baked Ham store well I unfortunately decided to visit again. The owner and his wife are nice and the cashier was nice this time and I asked before purchasing the items if the turkey was glazed as the hams are and she said yes just like the hams. Due to none of my family eating ham now we decided to buy the turkey breast instead. When I told the cashier I would take two she said it will be a few mins that they were preparing the turkeys in the back and she walked to the back and came right back out with 2 turkeys and I didn't think anything about the interaction until I was preparing plates for family that would not be in attendance to the family meal. The turkey was grey looking and no and I mean not one ounce of glaze on it neither turkey breast. I also have a son in the military who looks forward to anything from HBH. Needless to say he was disappointed. He always looks forward to the HBH but again due to not eating ham he was prepared for a turkey that was glazed like the ham. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed and I mean extremely! Should I have checked the bag when I got to the car or even asked to check the turkeys before she bagged them??? Yes!!! But I honestly expected them to put quality products in the bag considering how much you have to pay for a 3/4 lb turkey. Again Iam more than frustrated and can't believe I paid right at $100 for crap no one wanted to eat because it didn't look good. Dry, grey, and not glazed! NEVER again
