Their produce section is huge and basically so is the meat, deli and bakery sections! What I like about it is the different brands, those you don't find at your standard grocery stores. And I really like shopping here for holiday gifts, as you can put together some pretty good and creative gift baskets/bags. Today we got a nice deal on some frozen Key West pinks and a good looking bone in prime rib for our holiday dinner. We also found some jumbo sweet potatoes, fresh beets and a variety of food items for gift baskets. It was fun, except for maneuvering around all the people and their baskets. I think they need wider aisles or smaller shopping carts! And although it is a little pricey, I don't mind over-paying every once in a while just for the experience.

TRADER JOE'S ON STEROIDS ?…read more Well, its not Trader Joe's, just a much larger resemblance with similar traits. The exterior is a big red barn with a stationary two tone 1957 Ford truck between the exit and entrance enhancing that old southern American charm. Immediately enthralled by the spacious aisles and high ceilings with large food section identifier signs allowing simple navigation. Noticed the presence of several floor managers discussing product inventory and sports - i think. Bee lined directly to the bakery and viewed fresh baked key lime pies and other attractive pastry. Had to try the Pistachio Cranberry Biscotti which were enormous. The staffer advised that it was a good choice since they were just put out fresh. The biscotti were $12.99 per pound or $1.69 each. The espresso biscotti and chocolate biscotti both looked good too. Loved the hard crunch even after I dipped it into my morning coffee which enhanced the delightful Pistachio flavor. Everything was organized and appeared fresh. The wine section was large with every bottle fronted for easy visual. It was an adventure at Farmer's Joe's and will return for some fresh bread soon.

The customer service desk also sells lottery tickets so sometimes there is a very long line and it is frustrating when you need to utilize their service desk for typical reasons and the wait is long. The aisles seem very close together. I'm not a fan of their tight parking lot. I only go to this store when there's something special in the advertisement that I need. The best thing about this store, however is that their meat is quite good and frequently is priced well.

I am not in this particular WD a lot, but every time I cross the bridge and take a stroll down the aisles, the store is always clean and well lit. The parking lot is always full (& also clean-ish) for the store not being as packed as you think. It shared a plaza with other stores, so don't think everyone is trying to pull a Winn Win. However, you can win on days when the employees are stocking shelves, because nothing is in the way or missing. The staff is kind enough to move their carts if they are in the way or swift to apologize for attempting to move. The sales are typically comparative to other big box grocery chains and I've found things on a BOGO that I haven't found in a competitor. Slight advantage, that. I do look forward to going to this location, as it's an excuse to use my bridge pass. Go with what you know and need - make your adventure a grocery day and do some shopping.

Had been…read moresearching for local 100% grass fed/finished beef to fill our freezer and Pineshine is 1 of only a few that offer this quality. Most others are grain finished, which we did not want due to the health profile changes it can create, even if only fed grains for a few weeks. Ordering was fairly simple. Communication was a bit spotty (specifically our timeframe & cost), but I suspect it's because they do it all themselves - no marketing department to make things slick, which was fine w/us. We paid quite a bit per pound (more than I'd expected), but the meat is delicious and excellent quality. We've ordered 1/2 cow from other farms in the past, but this is probably the best tasting meat we've had from any ranch so that's impressive! So far we've cooked up ground beef, steaks, roasts, organ meat and made the most amazing beef bone broth from one of the soup bones. All items have been excellent quality, freshness and flavor. We chose to pick-up our meat from their farm. It was easy to schedule pick-up, everyone who helped us was friendly. If you don't have enough coolers to transport they will loan you a few to get home and then you bring them back. Here are the opportunities for improvement...Although the meat is the best we've had, the packaging is the worst we've had. I realize Pineshine isn't doing their own butchering, but the butcher they used is reducing the value of their product. The meats are all wrapped in white butcher paper and taped. Steaks are varying thickness. You can't tell how many steaks or bones are in each package until you open it since the wrapping is white. It's a mess when thawing as the paper gets soaking wet and the juices seep out. Sometimes the paper rips so you then have exposed meat. I prefer to avoid using plastic, but it's SO much nicer to have clear vacuum sealed meat in the freezer. I know exactly how many packages of steak to pull out when I can see them in the bag. If I'm running late on meal prep, I can submerge a vacuum sealed frozen package and have it thawed for dinner. I have a lot more confidence in the freshness several months in with vacuum sealed beef vs paper wrapped. Probably good we didn't know it would be paper wrapped, as we would have ordered elsewhere and missed the opportunity to eat their amazing beef. I also wish custom packaging were offered, which is what we've had with other cows (more roasts vs steaks, thickness of steaks, pounds per package, etc). We only use 1lb of ground beef at a time but all our beef was in 2lb packages and that's such a bummer and waste for us. It's difficult to cut frozen beef so I end up just thawing the whole thing and essentially losing the opportunity to use it later for a 2nd meal. Here you get standard cuts unless you buy the entire cow. Overall, I would highly recommend the beef from Pineshine Farms. It's fantastic! Would I re-order? If I could get customized butchering and vacuum sealed packaging then definitely! However, we would probably not reorder if they're still using the same butcher & paper packaging.
