Employe alot of kids so they don't have to pay much. Can make more at the gas stations. Management is horrible. There are 10 managers to every 3 employees. Alot of walking around. Prices are high. I expect the store to be sold or shut down in the future. Ron Hoover is dishonest and dosnt stand by his word. Terrible play to work unless you are a 15 year old.

There is a lady here who I'm not sure if she's a manager or just someone that works there but everytime we are there she bitches and bitches about anything that we do. Always nitpicking on us specifically and it's the same lady everytime. Makes us less likely to attend this Walmart. Honestly think she should get fired. I understand it's your job but it's ridiculous at this point.

Great market in a small town…read more The grocery area has a lot of variety for a small town and the prices are reasonable. We were there for brats, leaving with apple, beer, whiskey and mango habanero as well as two pounds of hamburger. The brats cooked up perfectly. Apple and beer were sort of plain, as expected. Whiskey was spicy. Mango habanero was the most surprising. The sweet balanced out the heat so well that I ate many more bits of these than I expected. The price per pound was better than the local butchers around Lawrence. We also had a couple of cocktails at a very reasonable $6 apiece. Both were tasty.

Bad Experience at Walmart Gas Station I had a very…read morefrustrating experience at this Walmart gas station. My fuel tank was not full, but the pump kept shutting off and would not allow me to add more gas. I tried multiple times, but the nozzle kept clicking off as if the tank were already full. This seems like an issue with the pump or nozzle, not my vehicle. While the gas price is good, the equipment needs to work properly. Cheap prices don't help if customers can't fuel their cars correctly. Walmart should inspect and maintain their gas pumps better to avoid this problem.

Great budget conscious grocery store that is gaining popularity around here!…read more There are a few things to know before you shop, if you've never been to an Aldi before. Bring your own quarter to check out a shopping cart. Be sure to bring your own bags as well, however there are bags available for purchase at the checkout aisle. You'll be bagging your own groceries. My only true complaint is the lack of selection. You can't be picky with brands here, because you basically get one option/product to choose from. I love coming here when building charcuterie boards, because the meats and cheeses are so cheap! Produce is good, however items like the bananas and watermelon that we've had in the past didn't really ripe and had little flavor.

I shopped at PriceChopper on April 10th. Stupid me didn't concern myself with sell by dates - generally never had to except with dairy and packaged salads. So I bought Juice that was best by March 01, 2012. I bought broccoli that they already wrap in plastic for you (which I hate but choices were limited), the broccoli was packaged on March 30... I bought it ten days after the fact. Mushrooms packaged on March 24th.... I threw those out and saw them as not salvageable. Several other grocery goods (thankfully I do not see those as perishable) that were several months past the recommended use by dates. Yeah Ummmm, never again.
