Bad Experience at Walmart Gas Station I had a very frustrating experience at this Walmart gas station. My fuel tank was not full, but the pump kept shutting off and would not allow me to add more gas. I tried multiple times, but the nozzle kept clicking off as if the tank were already full. This seems like an issue with the pump or nozzle, not my vehicle. While the gas price is good, the equipment needs to work properly. Cheap prices don't help if customers can't fuel their cars correctly. Walmart should inspect and maintain their gas pumps better to avoid this problem. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Outside of walmart grocery - Department Stores Near Me - Emporia, Kansas

A year ago, there were at least a dozen small shopping carts at the store. As a retiree, they are very nice to have. Haven't seen one in quite a while, so I went on an escapade today. Found this one breed among baskets on the south side of the entry point. Surely Walmart could do better. Let's hope! read more

I stopped at this Walmart for supplies while I was on a road trip that took me through Kansas. i drove all day so I decided to take a nap before continuing to my destination. When I need supplies, and have plenty of gas I feel it's sometimes safer for me to take a nap at Walmart rather than risk driving tired towards Flying J. The cashier was nice and friendly.and Walmart stocked all the items I needed. read more

Unlike Natural Grocer's in Topeka, this Walmart from Emporia is a joke. Even Dillons in Emporia has higher quality products that care about organic and clean ingredients unlike this Walmart. My Yuka app gets negative results by more products sold at Walmart than Dillons and Natural Grocer's combined. https://lifehacker.com/groceries-you-should-never-buy-at-walmart-1848806652?test_uuid=02DN02BmbRCcASIX6xMQtY9&test_variant=B Walmart insists on selling toxic ingredients found in skincare, makeup, food, beverages, etc. that Europe has banned already. https://www.simplyorganicbeauty.com/harmful-chemicals-in-beauty-products/ https://repprovisions.com/blogs/rep-provisions-blog/7-reasons-seed-oils-are-bad-for-your-health?srsltid=AfmBOop-BGEl35yONf2nDMYIBk4G6k5kPVFwPCfZ2O2kF4i3xIyvOgzn https://foodbabe.com/drink-starbucks-wake-up-and-smell-the-chemicals/ Walmart sells cereal from companies that increased the amount of sugar and salt in their products while decreasing important nutrients. But that's not the only red flag. It's clear that these cereal companies will increase children's likelihood of developing obesity, diabetes, and other forms of health deterioration. It's no wonder why some parents are not giving children cereal anymore. These cereal corporations aren't wanting to improve people's health at all. They're working with big pharma to exploit people's suffering from their health deteriorating. https://www.health.com/ready-to-eat-cereals-are-getting-less-healthy-here-s-how-to-choose-the-best-one-11747595 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1871402124001887 https://nypost.com/2024/03/14/business/kelloggs-froot-loops-have-harmful-artificial-dyes-shareholder/ https://blog.ucs.org/karen-perry-stillerman/what-is-big-ag-and-why-should-you-be-worried-about-them/ It's no wonder why Americans have more disabilities and infertility compared to Europeans. I'm not surprised by how crazy Americans are at this point. I've seen illiterate, bratty kids in Walmarts but never see this amount of misbehaving from Europe when Europeans actually make sure people behave properly. This is why America doesn't perform well in work performance. Not in academic performance, either. Unlike crazy America, I've been trying to take care of my health by avoiding Walmart's toxic products when possible. Especially when these Walmarts underpay workers, give them inhumane working conditions, and other things that make me realize that most Europeans have much better living standards. https://www.nelp.org/insights-research/chain-greed-walmarts-domestic-outsourcing-harms-workplace-rights-warehouse-workers/ https://www.eeoc.gov/newsroom/eeoc-sues-walmart-disability-discrimination-9 https://politicsofpoverty.oxfamamerica.org/walmart-investors-signal-their-concerns/ https://www.abetterbalance.org/walmart-abusive-attendance-ernest-paschal/ It's sad to see these inhumane Walmarts have such a monopoly on smaller cities like Emporia when they could be replaced by local supermarkets that treat workers much better with healthier ingredients. read more

The men's clothing department is very dirty and unorganized. Found a pair of underwear with a handmade clearance sticker for $5.99 but it was missing a pair of underwear. The same exact underwear next to it on the shelf complete is only $1 in the app. How is the set missing a pair $5.99? read more

I have bought straight talk phones at Wal mart for years (at least 15) but all of a sudden they try to push you in to buying T-Mobil. I'm very pleased to buy a card for service and go on without all the hidden charges of T-Mobil. I have been in the store 4 times to buy a new phone as mine is damaged, however this is what I get.....if I buy Straight Talk they WILL not transfer my information from my old phone (They always have in the past) If I switch to T- Mobil they will. What kind of crap is this?? How do I contact a manager to complain??? I'm a Senior Citizen and so tired of being disrespected by in my opinion LAZY workers read more

This is the worst store in town. The store is always dirty, with tons of pallets in the middle of the aisle. The Makeup is locked up, and you will get stopped to put your bubble bath in a nonstealing container since there is always 1 cashier in the ENTIRE building the people there to assist you will make you feel awful for it. Then the store is not stalked, so half the things you need are not there. If you want to purchase liquor, I highly suggest going elsewhere. When you check out anytime from 8-11 pm, the older man there in the beard will stop you, and I have even been chased because of a receipt. I was harassed too much by this man my husband started going shopping with me because it was uncomfortable. I shop now at 3 different stores to avoid Walmart. read more

Would like to commend the personnel in the electronics department Emporia Kansas store and especially to Greg Gallup. They helped me get my cell phone working properly again. One thing though the men's restroom is in need of cleaning. Thanks Gary Romine read more

Probably the worst Walmart I've been too and I've been to a lot of Walmarts. Tried their new order and pickup, they never get it correctly somehow and they add things to it. I now have no idea what to do with a bag potatoes because I didn't order them. Also, people some people were stealing, now everyone can get into do all of their shopping in the beauty aisle. The employees won't even go get what I need or walk me through. That really puts people at a huge disadvantage when they get to Walmart earlier than 10pm. I guess if you just have absolutely no other option, go but try to go to another store that values their customers more. I really hope there is new management because this ain't it. read more

Nothing new to add. Average place, fairly competent staff. You had better have gotten your Walmart fix if you are driving through I-335 because if you exit you will have to pay the toll and if you reenter you will get a second toll. read more

This has to be, by far, the most exciting place to shop in Emporia. It's a Super Wal-Mart so they have the grocery section, as well. Yesterday we went to stock up on things we had forgotten to bring for our trip. The people here are very nice. Although, that's true for most of the people in the Midwest. People here hold out doors for you, say good morning, good afternoon, and just smile. It's a weird, but great encounter, for an LA person. I asked someone in Electronics where the CD-Rs were (since my husband and I have exhausted nearly EVERY single CD I have in my car, I figured I better start burning from my iTunes) and instead of just telling me, "They're on aisle ##," she walked me over and pointed out the ones on sale, etc. In that aisle I also noticed some of their electronic accessories on clearance which I had to pick up. Example, a Targus external 9-key USB keypad for $10. I also got a grey sweater for $5 on clearance. The people are friendly, the store is amazingly clean, and it's one of the biggest and best places to shop in this small town. :) read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Don't know how many times I come in and see people just standing.

One of the worst places I have ever do not go there they hair salon will butcher your hair

They never have enough people working at the registers. I avoid Walmart as much as possible or I end up spending my entire paycheck. The store is usually clean but bathrooms are always closed for cleaning. Other than that it's pretty okay. read more

Would not recommend the Emporia automative section of this Walmart store. We went there to have 3 keys made. The man behind the counter was more interested in talking to a long lost friend of his...then waiting on customers. This man totally ignored us and other patrons waiting to be waited on. Then to top it off the Walmart employee finished up talking to his lost lost fishing buddy...came back behind the counter..pushed a buzzer to get help back in automative and left. There was 3 to 4 people waiting. Found the whole experience rude and bad for business. read more
