This company does not have enough practical clothes and shoes that fit females who work in…read moremanufacturing plants with concrete flooring. But this applies to American towns in general. So, I have to be in cities for better selection of clothes and shoes. As a manufacturing worker, I cannot wear heels, specific boots, casual tennis shoes, and flip flops without harming my feet. Companies like this haven't gotten the memo that females work in male-dominated jobs, too. This is not the dark ages where females are treated like second class citizens in every country. So, not all females can wear clothes and shoes for the sake of looking pretty for their men. They need clothes and shoes that protect their bodies while walking on concrete and doing lots of physical labor for long periods of time for their jobs. Most shoes in this store are not accommodating to females compared to males. This store has more of a shoe variety for males. Which is not practical in 2021, especially during this pandemic when females are trying to find jobs to survive.

I went in looking for a specific item. Needed 3, bought 2 elsewhere, needed 1 more. When I…read morecouldn't find the item where it should be, I searched for someone to help, he immediately directed me back to where I'd just come from. He wasn't helping anyone else when I approached him. I told him I'd already been in that isle and needed him to look. He acted aggravated, so I asked if he could look on the computer if he had it in stock. He walked over to a computer, and there's no way he could have looked anything up, but he said "nope, we don't carry that". I know different, as there was an empty bin where it should have been. I won't be going to them again and my (very large) family won't either

My wife and I went to the store on a Sunday to find a portable dishwasher; we chose to "Shop…read moreEmporia First." A salesman quoted a price for the dishwasher and claimed that if we came back on the very next day, it would be an additional 15% off that day's price. Upon returning the next day, the price of the washing machine had gone up and the Assistant Manager at Sears refused to honor what her sales associate told my wife and I on Sunday. She also chose not to offer any other ways to help us with our purchase; all she could basically say was that she couldn't help us. This poor taste from Sears makes me feel as though they are not trustworthy with their prices nor do they honor their customers to meet some type of satisfaction. We and will continue to choose to shop other places than Sears. If this store valued the customers of Emporia, they would have tried much harder to at least compromise with us on this possible purchase.
