Visited this thrift store for their big annual discount sale. The back half of the store (old…read morewarehouse) reeks of cigarette smoke. It was impossible to determine if the smell was coming from something inside the large room (i.e., furniture, rugs, items, etc.) or if that was just the way it always smelled. They keep the children's toys and items in this part of the store, among many other things. I've had severe asthma my whole life, so even just being in that room was enough to make me start coughing. They have so much of their own decor that it can be confusing when trying to figure out what is actually for sale and what belongs to the store. Additionally, the store does not individually price a large amount of items (which are clearly for sale!) which is very frustrating (some areas have signs w/prices, others do not). Items that have been priced, vary greatly. For example, a very cheap purse might be listed at $20+ while a name brand purse is listed at $8. They have a section of designer/name brand items that is also marked up significantly. It would make sense if their prices were a fraction of what the item cost brand-new, but they're out here charging $35+ for very used leggings! And they weren't even Lululemon! The cashier was disengaged and barely acknowledged shoppers, despite the long line. It takes .10 seconds to make eye contact and greet a person. There are so many better, more reasonably priced stores in the area, so this is a no for me.

I called the store back within a hour of the purchase to see what we could do. The store wouldn't even give store credit and take it back to let some else buy it that it would work for. Tough to lose a brand new customer over $6 even with the return of the item still pristine. I'm sure I would have spent more money in the return as my wife wanted to go back to purchase a curtain rod and curtain for our guest room.

I wanted a package of stew beef and there was none on the shelf and the people in the meat department ignored me when I tried to ask for help. The 2 liter drinks were on the top shelf where you could only reach the ones on the front row. I asked for help and the reply I got was there are plenty on the shelf. If you are handycaped or short don't go there.

It's tough. It's low quality meat. The chicken is fine. Pork is fine. The selection is BASIC. Try finding leaf lettuce or arugula, or any other lettuce. Iceberg and bags. The diary department is pretty much standard, looks a bit like stuff is often just stuck somewhere... now, frozen foods- HIGH. Selection- GRIM. Cheese variety- hahahaha. Pimento or American. The deli looks like it's dark and dirty, the front case really needs more attention. Food looks old, dry, empty pans.... Crumbs are everywhere, the rotisserie chickens are just unappealing in every possible way. Use to have French bread? And deli meats and cheeses. Spices? Hahaha. Variety of ingredients-hehehehe, HIGH PRICES- OUTRAGEOUS. Higher than Publix. At least Publix has sale items and great customer service. You should either CLOSE, or get your act together. Check your dates- bought 2 pounds of expired bacon on Friday! Is it too much to ask for BREAD? Your bread selection just sucks. I have came there for convenience but I rather be inconvenienced by traffic in Lexington. I feel due to the outrageous prices, and limited availability of sale items, and limited choices you really deserve zero .
