We get there at 11:53 and were told the cake wasn't ready and manager was coming back from lunch could have ready in 30 mins, I said we ordered it for noon pick up because we have a party at 1.. Said manager comes walking back to the bakery and says "you're here to pick up, it's not suppose to be ready until noon..(looks at her phone) oh it is noon give me a couple mins.." She gave me the cake that said happy 10th birthday I said that would be great if she was 10 and NOT 19..She takes cake back takes the 0 off and adds a 9 which is clearly seen..The cake looked horrible ,the writing looked like a 2 year old did it.. I did get the cake half off but that definitely isnt the point of this..Very disorganized and NOT one person in the bakery had their hair in a net and all 3 employees back there had long hair..

But as an out-of-towner and someone who is always hunting for healthy and gluten free and sugar free options, I was blown away (in a positive way!) by what this market had on the shelves. It's a medium sized market and I'm not saying it's the best I've been to, but I found a good meal at low prices. Plus, the place was packed with folks from the local area so clearly people are voting in favor of this market with their feet. This is just one guy's point of view, of course, but I kinda liked it.

UFS, is located in an older area of Peoria and includes 2 different buildings located across the street from one another. One building houses furniture and the other building carries all of the other general retail and house ware items. You wouldn't expect a store like this to have an outstanding beer selection, but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of beer that they carry. Even more surprising is their low prices. They undercut prices from other beer retailers by at least $1.00 per six pack of craft beer. I picked up several 6 packs that I'd never seen before and took them back to Tennessee with me. I'll definitely be returning during my next visit to the Peoria area. On a side note: they often have beer tastings here. During our visit, they were giving out free samples of Bridgeport beer. Check your local listings for details.
