Sometimes a little higher than you would find at a larger supermarket...but you won't find a larger supermarket in this part of town! It's in the Brandeis Building, and to not distract from the majesty, the signage is kept small and vague, so you may not realize the Dollar General goodness available here. I usually find them well stocked, moderately clean and with boxes of of merch waiting to be stocked. The staff feels hurried and disinterested. This store is a refreshing upgrade. Horrible customer service. Bought coffee mugs. The clerk put them in the bag without wrapping them…read moreor putting an item between them. Unbeknown to me one had a hairline crack. I washed the mugs, removed the stickers and threw away the receipt. Next morning my houseguest poured coffee into the cup. He set the cup on the counter and prepared breakfast. A minute later he turned to find a puddle of coffee under the cup. I looked at the cup, and then noticed the hairline crack in it. When I returned to the store, and tried to exchange it for another cup I was told that they couldn't exchange it without the receipt or sticker. I said I only wanted to get the same cup. I could go over to the shelf and get the cup exact same cup, and show them the sticker. But no, they couldn't exchange it without the receipt. Is it too much to ask that they make it right? I wasn't asking for a refund. Needless to say, I will not go back to this store ever! I have been a customer for more than 20 years.

The second time I went I looked at a known inexpensive food item Denty Moore beef stew. This place charges over five dollars almost 6 dollars for 20 ounce can. That is insane so I elected to no longer buy groceries from this place there's a Walmart 30 miles away and another small town and there's Dollar General in two different cities that aren't real far away. after looking at some of the other prices on some of the other stuff they have they are wanting to cater to millionaires evidently. The employees are very nice And helpful when you ask a question the reason for two stars his house so incredibly expensive stuff is at this place nowhere near competitive with anything else.
