Despite the limited food, we stopped to check the Lego section, this was better, it was short on the shelves, but they had lego items that we have not seen in any other stores. I sent them a message and asked if there was anyway I could purchase and have these shorts shipped to Canada, I was expecting to hear no and they said sure no problem. I did not see that on any sign at the front door of the store or on the counter where you pay. You don't see it on the sales receipt until after the sale and you have already paid for the product. The only thing I ever disliked about Thriftway is the location--not necessarily within the city, but the way it is tucked off in a corner behind Bealls and Walgreens. Each December, an annual canned food drive (Stuff-a-Truck) happens in front of this store. So they definitely support their community and less fortunate citizens. I may be the only one who remembers this, but Thriftway used to be on Dal Paso St. That Thriftway burned to the ground back in '07. I never learned what the cause was or how it happened, but... Of course pretty much everything in Pecos Texas is overcrowded, run-down and expensive for what they really are. Except for Walmart! You get your standard Walmart prices but you do not have an automotive department, no 24 hours and even longer lines, but you do get to dodge Isles full of inventory that need to be broken down and items put on the shelves. Also, don't let me get started on the 20 plus people deep line because like overcrowded Pecos Texas everybody is trying to pack 10 pounds of crap in a 5lb bag, Walmart is no exception. This is one place that definitely needed to be a super Walmart. I'm going to hate to give this advice to you but the Family Dollar and general dollar down the road put this Walmart to shame. Now that you might have taken this advice, please do me a favor and do not go into these dollar stores until I am done finished and left this piece of a something town.
