Since the Alamo desk was busy, the guy at National didn't mind actually helping me out and was very polite and knowledgeable. He actually upgraded my car, since I needed an SUV and it was a nice ride, he made the entire pickup process easy and enjoyable!

The car smelled horrible inside with cigarette smoke odor masked with some horrible deodorant. GPS was in French only so could not understand commands or any part of it. Upon arrival to destination, ignition key would not let us remove it so we were unable to get our luggage out of the trunk . It ran out the battery during the night . Eventually we found the secret way to remove it...by positioning of the front wheels...,who would have known? Had to find a store to buy jumper cables etc. Bad start to our trip. Upon our return to the airport...to return our car rental, we were met by Joshua who was a kind, friendly and professional associate who genuinely cared about our experience. He listened to our trials and offered us a $ rebate to help compensate us for our inconveniences on the trip. Hope you give that young man a promotion and recognize what a treasure he is to your organization. He is a wonderful representative of your company and his empathy, more than made up for the dog of a car we had to drive around the area.

Why is it that we often get forced to drive Nissans? We haven't had such good look with Nissans for rentals, as they don't seem to be the greatest quality. Let's hope this one is better. There is random white paint in a few spots around this SUV. On the passenger rear door, back gate, driver's side too. Also some scrap marks by the lift gate, no doubt from dragging items in and out of the trunk.

Rude guy showed up with shuttle. Did a racist comment about us and never apologized . My US credit card covers insurance still tries to charge me $850 as a deposit. Wanted me to enter the chip for the charge. Why do I need to enter credit card for deposit. Later tried to charge $50 cancellations fee. When we didn't take the car, waited for Uber outside. It's…read morevery conveniently located and if you take a car for a few days and stay in area you can use hotel 10 parking (unofficially, but you will get a gate code from Avis) The most important thing is the proprietor of this place. Shabab is incredibly helpful and awesome person. Over time helped me to get very good deals on upgrades and called me when I forgot to top up the tank instead of charging me 3$ per liter. A+
