Lily is a delight! Maddie too! They always remember my order and are super pleasant to boot! The wait is never long but the availability of my favorite bagel (pumpernickel) is sadly hit or miss :( Dolce sells ice cream but their main business is coffee and breakfast/lunch options. If that doesn't interest you there is a fridge with canned beverages, etc too. The ambience is coffee shop chic and has an average noise level. For a small town I find pricing to be high but that's the Starkville Premium I suppose :/ Regarding bagels, I find the amount of cream cheese to be quite excessive which I suppose is a better "problem" than too little, but seriously... it could easily provide cover 3-5 bagels!! 1 star deduction for inconsistent bagel availability. The bagels here are not NYC style. They are not even fresh. I've gone 3 separate times to give them a try - each time the bagels seem to be old, and after they warm them up, hard as a rock! The ice cream is great though! I think they are trying to expand to serve several different items, when the ice cream is their winner! read more

Great spot for coffee & breakfast! We went on a Saturday AM. They had a wide variety of coffee flavors & special coffee drinks to chose from. Their breakfast ranges from sausage balls, bagels, &. Breakfast sandwiches including lox & bagels. Everyone was so nice & the lattes & bagel sandwiches were delicious. Cute area to sit & is an extension of L'uva. Great start to the day! read more

Great coffee and pastry. I went in the summer when they aren't nearly as busy. I'm sure they are full when State is in session.

Service was awful, walked in and the cashier just stared & never greeted us. We waited several minutes, on a "how can I help you" and it never happened! He didn't even approach us to assist us in any way. They were not busy(only 1 other customer present) and the cashier literally stood there strolling on his phone. Horrible customer service, they will probably be out of business soon with this kind of service. read more

This is to the best bagel, gelato, coffee, and service in the area!! Everyone is always so nice and helpful when it comes to picking a flavor of coffee or topping for the dessert! I love the Bench seating next to the wall that has what the employees like to have when they are working!! All and all great people and place to be and spend time! read more

I'll be as honest as I can be. Starkville is so lucky to have a place like Dolce, and I want it to succeed and stay for years to come. But the staff is ALWAYS DROWNING. There's no excuse for making customers wait 30 minutes for a bagel other than being short staffed. We love the food and want to support small businesses, but there is always an insane amount of time to wait-- even if it's called in way ahead of time. Hopefully the owners will see it's a huge issue and something can be done. read more
