The service was a bit slow (took 20 mins to take our order) but the linguini and clams pasta was delicious. Seasoned well with fresh pasta.

I'm new to the area and happened upon Dolce while exploring the area. The restaurant is sooo adorable! Absolutely beautiful decor very modern, tasteful, and fun! I ordered the Margherita FLATBREAD and my husband ordered a Cesar salad with salmon. The food arrived and I was disappointed that my FLATBREAD was basically a mozzarella cheese pizza with five basil leaves on top. I usually order a Margherita pizza if I find it on a menu because I like the simplicity of the Neapolitan dish... very little sauce... Fresh tomatoes ... a few slices of cheese...and a few basil leaves. Simple. Sadly, there was so much cheese on the pizza the thin dough was soggy and a mess. I scraped all the cheese off and ate the edges that were not soggy. My husband said his Cesar salad was good. When the waitress came to leave the check I asked her if this was in fact their Margherita pizza... she said yes. I explained I was surprised because the menu said there were San Mazano tomatoes used and there were none. The waitress explained its a San Marzano SAUCE. I explained there's a discrepancy then in the menu description. It was a cute place... we may return only next time inquire further about the preparation of their dishes.

This place was good.. but not great. The service was not super good, especially for a more expensive place like Dolce. I will say that they seemed understaffed, so this is more of a reflection on the owners/ management then the staff themselves. I ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer and it was AMAZING! A little pricey, but the cheeses paired very well with the meats and they had honeycomb and jam that added a sweet touch. Definitely order this if you go here. For my entree I ordered the Penne pasta and was extremely disappointed. The dish tasted overwhelming of peppers and you couldn't even taste the sauce. I would probably come back here for the charcuterie board alone, but it's not my favorite place ever. The drinks were good too but pricey.

Very nice rustic old world style, it's small classy kind of a Tuscan feel. In Rancho Santa Fe Fairbanks area. Had the Wagyu Burger and Lasagna Pros: Location - If you live/work in the area, then you know how easy it is to get to. Wine - If you like wine, then this is a spot for you. Lots of choices at all price ranges. Food tastes freshly made but need a little more seasoning Cons: Price/Portions - The food is expensive considering portion size but what isn't expensive these days.

Dolce has definitely come down IMHO. We've returned for take-away following the COVID-19 shutdown. My favorite has been the Dolce Burger, but the quality of the meat has declined, as has the preparation. "Rare" was prepared "Medium" at best. The brioche bun was stale. And they tried to charge an uplift for blue cheese ... and for the bacon that is part of the menu description! The "half chicken" is little more than a chicken breast bounded out to form what looks like a half chicken. Tasty but not as advertised. Dolce has take-away, delivery (Grubhub), and dining in the restaurant. Social distancing is enforced, as is the face mask requirement. Major problem is that Dolce will not honor gift (bonus) cards bought last December beyond their June 30th expiration date ... despite 3+ months of COVID-19 lock down.

This beautiful restaurant is nestled within the lovely community of Del Sur, just west of 4S Ranch. The building itself is impressive and once inside, very thoughtfully and elegantly decorated and appointed. My first impression was this is a standout place and I'm so glad I dined here. The staff were all so welcoming, friendly, and personable. We were even visited by Rosina herself as she delighted us in a tour of the menu and answered questions. I started with the Burrata alla Panna, served with heirloom tomatoes, which was outstanding. Most places just call this one "Caprese". For dinner I had the Lasagna which was excellent! House made pasta sheets layered with meat Bolognese, bechamel, ricotta, mozzarella, and Romano cheeses. Served bubbly hot and beautifully baked off on top, just how I like it. I was impressed by the number of thin, delicious layers that went into their lasagna. I look forward to visiting again soon and cannot recommend Rosina's more highly enough!

I've gotten it every-time and it is consistently delicious. Best lasagna ever. The drinks are good, I've had the raspberry mule which I recommend! The vibe is cute and cozy and a little romantic depending where you are sitting. They have a lot of sitting options whether that be outside or one of there 2 indoor options. We were sad when they closed for "redecorating" and excited to try it out again when they reopened. Unfortunately all the changes they've made seem to be for the worse. They seem to be trying to become more casual, tearing out their old leather booths and getting rid of their velvet chairs. Unfortunately the redesign feels cheap and tacky instead, and the food prices haven't changed. The friendly, competent waitstaff (who all used to be Italian) have been replaced by high schoolers who don't seem to know what they're doing. It's fine for them to learn on the job, but there should be ONE experienced person around to teach them, and that didn't seem to be the case when we came on a Sunday evening. There were only two other tables eating when we came in and asked to be seated. The hostess said she would go check on a table and never came back. Ten minutes later someone else wandered by and we asked them and they seated us. The food quality seems to have gone downhill with the service. I ordered chicken parm and the chicken was tough and unappetizing and the sauce was watery and flavorless. The pizza that my husband ordered was pretty good though, seemed like their old recipe at least. I should try the bolognese that I used to like a lot to see if it's still good, but honestly the whole experience was so disappointing that I'm not in a hurry to go back and give them a second chance.

It's the perfect place to walk around, shop, grab a meal, and spend a few hours. I really love Del Mar, and this shopping center is definitely one of my favorites. I've been to the Fashion Valley location before and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to try this one. I also had no idea that North Italia is co-owned by The Cheesecake Factory, which was pretty interesting! I ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. The pesto was flavorful, the chicken was incredibly moist, and I loved the pine nuts and capers, they added the perfect texture and flavor. If you're a pesto fan like I am, you really can't go wrong with this dish. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was beautiful. The waitress was really nice and helpful. She did a great job getting all of our orders correct and was prompt with responding to our requests. In my opinion the service and ambiance were the best part of the restaurant. The food was honestly just okay for me. There are so many other great Italian restaurants that I would rather go to at a similar price point. Our table shared the white truffle garlic bread which was pretty tasty with a nice creamy sauce and crispy crust. For the entree my husband and I shared the strozzapreti pasta and the pig pizza. The pasta was claimed to be a creamy, truffle and cheese pasta with an herb roasted chicken. It wasn't that creamy, there wasn't really a truffle taste, and the chicken honestly just felt like a shredded rotisserie chicken. The pine nuts were a nice addition and the pasta itself was a nice texture but overall the dish was very underwhelming. The pizza we got was like a meat lovers pizza. It was good but the toppings were sparsely placed mostly on one side and it was a bit too much crust for me. I also tried bites of a chicken parm plate which was decent but nothing out of this world.
