A small menu, with sandwiches, salads and a few entrees. I opted to stick with the breakfast foods and just had the 'breakfast rasher', which is two pieces of whole meal toast, a couple of scrambled eggs (cooked in the microwave, I bet) and two pieces of bacon. Far from haute cuisine, but it hit the spot. Today's special: grilled chicken breast with garlic and butter sauce, served with chips. And the soup is home-made chicken noodle. Maybe next time, if I'm in a lunch mood. The restaurant is little more than a storefront with a bar and a bunch of matching tables some of which are also outside. As for the outside, it's not their fault that they are right on the high street, which means all the noise and vibration, plus the bus stop literally on their front doorstop. Sadly, there's no wifi here.

They also do coffee, a special blend made just for them. Being next door to a costa, they have to do something to make you want their coffee, so they make it properly! The food isn't bad. I wouldn't call it amazing but it is good value; you get a decent sized, tasty portion at a good price, and the staff are friendly. I'll be pleased to visit again!

There is not much seating, and I can't promise very comfortable seating inside where there are stools at a wide window ledge on either side of the entrance. I don't think more than 10 people can eat inside. They are quick to serve and very friendly. I had the parmigiana which was very tasty. Others have told me it's hard to go wrong with the pastas, or even the meats -- it's all really good. The draw back is the small size of the place and the stool seating. During lunch time on the weekdays it does get very hectice. Infact, getting there around 1pm you've probably already missed out on all the fresh pasta dishes. Very tasty and a great friendly environment. Definitely stop by if your missing some Italian in your life :)

My girlfriend and I spent just over a week in London, and this was one of our morning go to spots…read more We went 3 or 4 times in our short stay, and the guys working behind the counter were always friendly, and made excellent espresso drinks. After the first time, they seemed to know what we wanted to drink, and that we wanted a ham and cheese croissant. There are some coffee shops you can frequent for years, and they don't pick up on their customers drinks. So for that, they were excellent... and it seemed to be the case for everyone that entered the shop while we were there. I only knew of the place because of a friend that used to work nearby. But, I can't recommend it enough. If I had the money, I'd move those guys to the US, and open a shop with them. Also, they had sfogliatelle. . . one of my favorite pastries.

I ordered the prosciutto sandwich deal that came with a drink and cake. I ended up getting a soya cappuccino and a pain au raisin. The pastries didn't look nearly as enticing inside as they did from the exterior, but this looked like the least dry option. I had been waiting for 10 mins after getting my cappuccino. After I told the waitress that I was in a bit of a rush, the pain au raisin finally arrived with grill marks (!?), so I guess they had put it in the panini press. The cappuccino was too hot and the soya milk was poor quality. Friendly service, but I won't be coming back in a hurry...
