Continuing in my scrapbook series representing July 2019 is Dolby Live in Vegas. July 2019-June 2020 I had a long-term relationship; so I have something represented each month. I was in Vegas for a wedding on Saturday, July 6, 2019. In early July 2019, we were only 3 dates in our relationship all in late June. So, it was me without her, and I stayed with my parents at Treasure Island. From the wedding, rehearsal dinner, etc, I got to know various people and saw people I hadn't seen in a long time. One of the couples (one I met a couple of times long time ago) & her husband (who I had never met), we built some good rapport. He said he had extra ticket to Aerosmith backstage pass here at Dolby Live, which I enthusiastically agreed. I think he sent the pass to me electronically. The next day Sunday, July 7 was the night of the Aerosmith concert. My parents dropped me off. I went in the designated entrance. Staff was cordial, but we are having a hard time accessing the tickets or the scan wasn't working. It was very strange. I explained to the staff about these being backstage passes that my friend sent me. It was a bit of back & forth, but ultimately, they said go that way to stand in line to get in. Wow, this was a magnificent large modern theater. Seeing Aerosmith on the side stage was incredible! Conclusions: So, we don't know for sure if those "friends" (who I barely knew) actually gave me real tickets or sent me some fake thing that wasn't supposed to work to play a trick on me. I will say when I arrive (late because of the hecticness with the tickets) I saw them saying thanks for the ticket, so cool! His face seemed to turn a paler shade of white, and he seemed stunned I was there like it was a trick. So, I kind of think the staff felt sorry for me with this ticket not working giving me the benefit of the doubt. In summary considering the staff was nice & helped me out, I got to give Dolby Live a 5-star! To be fair, I still would've given them 5, but even more-so in this case. In summary, I honestly believe the tickets were fakes, and he had no actual extra ticket and wanted to play a cruel joke on me. If I hadn't gotten in as they had intended, I would've been very depressed that not walking around MGM Park casino by myself until the concert was over. I'm not sure I would've mustered up telling my parents what happened and pretended seeing Aerosmith was cool. After that trip, I didn't see those people again, I live in Maryland, and they live in Arizona. read more

This theater is located in the park MGM. It seats about 6000 people which is ideal for me because I hate being in a stadium so large you can't see the performers. We came here to see NKOTB and the visuals were insane for such as all stage. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I look for more things on this venue for sure. Acoustics was phenomenal and the lighting. This is definitely one of my favorite venues now to see a live show Came here to see my Jonas Brothers at their Vegas residency Easy check in and security It's pretty nice inside with this lovely chandelier as a focal point on the hallway , lots of bars to get service from but very expensive as Vegas prices! They have an outside balcony area with a great view- was lovely at dusk Inside the actual theater there is not a bad seat in the house and they have giant screens too The chairs are super comfortable too The prices were great too- I spent less here to be closer to the front then I did for Minneapolis with worse seats read more

IF YOU LIKE LOUD THIS IS THE PLACE! Dolby Live Theatre on the Las Vegas strip at Park MGM is probably the loudest venue in my opinion to see a show--hence Dolby surround sound. This could pose an issue for anyone with sensory issues, sensitivity etc... so know this in advance! Not only loud at the extreme but overloaded with stage lighting that will blow your head into an episode of shock or more if you're unprepared. So happy I scored this mother and daughter night out with a really great deal on Ticketmaster! The Jonas Brothers, one of our all time favorite Disney pop star sensation bands from the past to present does not disappoint! These men are admirable and energetic creating a very bouncy fun atmosphere for this performance! Absolutely loved seeing these guys perform! Thanks to guest service representatives at the venue we were able to upgrade our tickets when the sensory overload occurred--also, if you are prone to vertigo do not settle on a balcony seat. You will be sick and these seats are very tight together. Perspective from the balcony you get a perfect view of everything however, if lights like flickering, overly bright, swirling are an issue for you don't sit here. And finally--bring a set of professional protective earphones - trust me it's so loud. Dolby Live in summary is a gorgeous state of the art venue. Everything so clean and inviting. It's a great events venue and it was very nice sound system that worked for the music concert. Kudos to the organizers and staff who manage to organize famous concerts and huge crowds. Lines are formed inside the casino. Not sure if lines outside were for seating or merch. read more

It's tiiiime! All we want for Christmas ... is Mariah Carey! [Las Vegas NV] Dolby Live is located in the Park MGM in Las Vegas. This was my first time watching a concert in this venue. The sound system delivers an excellent, crisp and evenly balanced experience from the performers on stage. It is huge and can sit 5,200 guests. We were seated at the balcony level and still had a good view. Of course we would've loved to see Mariah up close but I can't complain. The venue has 3 Levels: Orchestra, High Orchestra, and Balcony. There are also terraces with views of the Las Vegas Strip and The Park. The Entrance to the theater will be on the right after the MGM Rewards desk. Overall nice venue and great experience. Fun fact: For locals who didn't know - Park MGM is the old Monte Carlo Hotel! The NKOTB Residency show was absolutely an epic must see show! Your 1990s teenage heart won't regret it. The Dolby Live theater is very loud and intimate theater; there isn't a bad seat in the house! Service was impeccable as we were relocated to closer seats for free! Special event parking was $30, boo to that! Drinks were $30 or $50(special NKOTB cup) for one cocktail! read more

Went to see the New Kids on the Block last night and I will tell you.... One of the best examples of pure showmanship and generosity of talent I've ever experienced! The theatre itself was well laid out and we had some great seats. Front row balcony are always a go to if possible. Just a great unimpeded view with an excellent vantage point. Acoustics were excellent and this remarkable 2 hour show was set in the perfect venue!! Dolby Live is located in the MGM Park hotel and is easily navigated two by the tram that goes from the Bellagio right to the MGM Park hotel! A lovely time was had. read more

I love the Dolby live venue inside Park MGM. I have seen Mariah Carey and the Jones Brothers here. Every seat is a good view in this venue. The seats are soft and cushioned. There is plenty of leg room. We parked across the street at The BLVD for only $20. It was a five minute easy walk up the escalators and over the bridge. Usually the parking at park MGM is $40-$50 if there is an event. read more

Every time I'm in new city, I love going to their arena and amphitheaters. The Dolby Live has been on my list for a while and I was finally able to check it out. I came two days in a row. The line sometimes look long, but they go by very quick. I like how there are bathrooms located all over the place. I was able to bring my drinks from the casino inside. Just make sure it's in a plastic cup. If not they have some available. They do have a bar with a variety of items. And the drinks they have you can either get with two shots or three shot shots. All the staff I encountered was great and friendly. The seats are kind of comfy too. Due to the way it was created. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. You will have a good view wherever you are. Obviously the lower the better but even if you're in the upper upper bowl, you will have a decent view. read more

Why yes I did! I've been a fan since my grade school days. Ever since they started up again back in something like 2008, I've gone to almost every single concert. When I found out I'll be in Vegas during their residency, I moved my trip up a day to catch the last day of their early July portion. I got my tix about 3 months prior. I like sitting in the aisle and was able to grab a seat closer to the center portion. During what I believe was Tonight, I got right next to Joey! I'm shy, so I didn't try to get a selfie with him or anything. I just took a pix of him while others kept running up to him. The benefits of an aisle seat! Overall, my view was pretty good. Not too close or far. Only gripe is the concession stand prices. I believe I paid something like $60 for a water and an alcoholic beverage. That's just too much. And I didn't even get like a souvenir cup or anything. Not that I would have paid extra for it, but just trying to justify the spend. Glad I was able to get an aisle seat. I really enjoy seeing shows at Dolby Live. There are plenty of accessible bathrooms, which is very important for us aging ladies. The decor is beautiful and the screens are very high quality for graphics. The VIP area is nice with little tables and service. But there's really not a bad seat in the house. I usually don't sit up top, but I did last night and it wasn't at a scary angle. The seats were still comfy and roomy, and the view was great! I had never been to Dolby Live, but my friend and I went to re-live our youth and see NKOTB in concert. It. Was. The. Best. The venue was a good balance between large and intimate; we were able to see everything that was happening and feel a part of the atmosphere, even though we weren't particularly close. Because NKOTB were in residence, they had cool performance features including boxes where they moved closer to those of us in the cheap seats. The best thing about the theater is that given the size, entering and exiting are both relatively easy and fast. read more

I was privileged to enjoy a complimentary 4th of July VIP Concert a few years back. The venue is new, clean, spacious and organized. Close to all of the MGM Branded Hotels. I was comped a suite at MGM Grand so it was convenient. Security is friendly and welcoming and most importantly, respectful. Concessions are reasonably priced if you want something else that isn't offered with a VIP Package. Restrooms are close by and clean. The sound was excellent. The stage was positioned so that everyone has a perfect vantage point to enjoy the concert. All in all, it was a magical night and unforgettable. Came here to see BRUNO MARS and this is the most I have ever paid to see anyone! I have seen him LA at The Hollywood Bowl and The Forum. This place beats them all, Mainly because it only seat 5200 people. I will have to warn you BRUNO has your phone locked up in a pouch! YUP! Once you checked in with your phone, it goes in a pouch they WONT unlock until you leave the venue. I love how he jokes about it in his concert as well. Sorry not sorry, I took your phones away! The venue is so organized and clean. Women restroom clean and huge. Multiple concession stands on each level. We were sitting in the 304 level right in the middle and it was great and amazing! His performance is on point, engaging and just oh so good! You can see him clearly and I think I am not spoiled with shows in Vegas, you pay a little more but you get the full experience, seem more intimate. Once concert was over it was pretty painless to get our phones unlocked as we exit the venue. Overall it's a great experience. read more

The Dolby Live theater located in the Park MGM hotel and casino is a great venue to see concerts! The acoustics of the room a very good and while the theater isn't the largest - it gives good sound and the view from most any seat is pretty good. The staff is friendly and there are a number of concession areas for snacks and drinks. Made for a very good experience. We saw the opening night of Motley Crue The Las Vegas Residency 2025. I think the theater is good size it isn't big like t-mobile arena but it holds good amount of people. My seat was 300 levels but I could see the singers my naked eyes. I didn't have to watch the screen all the time. That is awesome. The sound is great. read more

NKOTB 4the of July weekend... 5 stars for the actual venue. This place has amazing sound and seating. Not that we were sitting too much, but you get the point. Dolby Live is a smaller venue, and I'm sure all the seats are great with awesome views. 0- starts for the drinks. Not only were the drinks expensive (I knew that was going to be the case, as we are frequent concert goers), but they were disgusting. Almost $100 down the drain. Yes, they were that bad. I don't know if the carbonation was off, or they use off brand mixers and cheap booze or what, but the drinks were so nasty. Next time I see a show at Dolby Live, I'm sticking to water... read more

This week we went to go see The NKOTB at Dolby live inside Park MGM and we were not disappointed! NKOTB put on a phenomenal show, what great performers each and every one of them are! The venue was perfect, all of the stage props, pyrotechnics, audience confetti, and stage set up were absolutely phenomenal! The sound was perfect and crisp. So far I have seen two shows at this venue and I saw Lady Gaga in jazz And this time I saw Mariah Carey for Christmas. Both shows was a good experience and I really do love the Ambiance here Which is a little bit more classy and fancy. . Last time for Lady Gaga I sat in the middle and it was a really good point of view. This time I sat right in the front maybe five rows behind in the middle for Mariah Carey and it was so outstanding for the show. The View here is never a bad seat because the stage is perfect for every angle. The stage wasn't too far or too close it's very well space. . The sound is clear and I do like how it's not too loud or too low and no muffled noises. . I like how the lines are always organized and the securities are friendly and helpful when you have a question. Also the bathrooms are close by so there isn't too much walking or too far away. When leaving the venue it was quite clear and easy but it does get crowded but it clears out pretty quick. . I cannot wait to come back and see which show I will be soon or next. I always prefer a intimate more closer than you than a bigger venue that is too big and too much walking and the noise isn't that great usually compared to the smaller venue. . Overall the sound quality is great, any of the seating here is a great View for the stage, the Ambiance is classy and elegant. There is always a good crowd here which isn't too big or too crowded. It just occurred to me that this was Yelp-able, so here we go! Dolby Live at Park MGM is a venue that often hosts some pretty big names in music. I happened to receive a ticket from a friend to the first show of Sammy Hagar's residency here, so I gladly and gratefully accepted. After getting through some unexpected traffic, I breezed in to the regular Park MGM parking garage. Event parking rates were on, presumably for this concert since T-Mobile looked dead, but I have the 2nd tier MGM player's card which was enough to get in for free. I found my way inside and met up with my buddy, and we walked in pretty easily through ticketing and security. We went to the wrong arena entrance at first and had to go up an escalator. I'm pretty sure I balked at drink prices and had absolutely nothing. The concert was great. Sammy Hagar is not in my wheelhouse, but he and his backing band (Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Kenny Aronoff, Rai Thistlethwayte) performed very well. The acoustics were pretty good and seemed loud but didn't leave me struggling to hear the next day. My seat seemed comfortable enough and had enough space for my long legs. The one thing I thought wasn't amazing was the quality of the monitors, but I was close enough that I had a nice view as long as the VIPs in front of us weren't standing. I enjoyed myself and didn't find a lot of issues, so I would be more than happy to attend another concert at Dolby Live. read more

Went to see Zayn during is 7 show residency. We sat in the premium booth seating. The seats were nice and comfortable and we were still close enough without having to stand in the pit with tons of others. The only disappointing part was part of the package was we had a dedicated attendant; the waitress was very friendly but it felt like it took forever to get service. I don't think at fault of the waitress, but venue should have more dedicated staff at the prices charged for it. Loved the intimate feeling for such a big act read more

Went to see the zayn Malik show (he was amazing) Getting into the show was kind of a disaster because there are so many packages that say VIP. So we ended up running around a lot to get that sorted and it seemed like a lot of patrons were confused. Once we got in we were sat in the vip booth section. Our server was helpful and polite. Snagged free tickets to a Bruno Mars show and damn, were the seats good (section 102 - front center, row D, seats 4 & 5)! Needless to say, the show was spectacular and I can finally cross this off my bucket list of musicians to see. A few tips if you're going to a concert at Dolby Live: - It's inside the Park MGM hotel. Signs are usually posted to help navigate to the venue. - The free tram is a good option to get to Park MGM. We took it from the Shops at Crystals stop. We ended up walking back to our hotel (Cosmopolitan) afterward since we felt motivated to do so. The walk wasn't bad as we cut through Aria and the Shops at Crystals to get back. - For the Bruno Mars concert, no phones were allowed during the show. As you enter the venue, they hand out Yondr pouches to store your phone and they lock them. The pouch stays with you throughout the show. Once you leave, there are devices that the staff uses to unlock the pouch. As a person who photographs everything with my phone, it felt like I didn't go to the concert because I had no pictures to show for it. - We had floor sears which were cushioned and comfortable. The spacing seemed a little too close to one another though. #ineedmyspace - Concession stands offer drinks and snacks for purchase. - Check the Dolby Live website for restrictions on what you can bring/not bring. - Not a tip, but just a comment. We had another great experience attending another concert here at this beautiful venue. This venue has a great stage view from anywhere, great sound and lights, good seating and friendly staff. Parking is easy at the Park MGM and access into the venue is easy. We have see a number of different concerts here and alway have a great time. This particular time we attended the New Kids on the Block concert which was fun, entertaining and very good. I love this venue because there are truly no bad seats in the house. We were lucky to score floor seats about 10 rows from the stage, and the view was amazing. We came for The Celebration of Mimi. Seats were decent although we were at the top of the section in the aisle. That worked to our advantage because not one song was performed without people getting up to buy drinks, use the bathroom, smoke, etc then stagger back up. I'm all for people getting up to dance and sing but the constant weaving, staggering, up and down the stairs and then security coming over to have people turn off their flashlights was annoying. That being said, Mariah started on time, she looked great, her voice was still phenomenal and she could hit those glass shattering notes. However, the bass and drums drowned her out, she didn't have much facial expression and would sing her part then be escorted offstage while the male dancers (in garish 00s outfits) postured and danced. At one point the dancers did Chippendales-style gyrating with chairs. Mariah was great, the show direction seemed dated. She performed for about 2 hours and it was easy to get in and out of the facility. Uber pickup was very quick. read more

Came here to see NKOTB and I love that this venue is smaller because no seat feels like a bad seat. You get a great view no matter where you are. Getting in and out of the venue was easy. Waited for the drinks line to die down but when I got there, the wine I had wanted was no longer in stock. Instead got a drink in one of the NKOTB cups and the drink alone was $32 and cup was another $16. Expensive but worth it! read more

3.5 stars. NKOTB's Vegas residency takes place at Dolby Live, the music venue on the casino level of the Park MGM Hotel. My group attended two shows in June, with floor seats on different sides of the stage each night. Five glowing stars for the guys who, as always, brought their brand of fun energy & obvious dedication to their performance. The concert gives Blockheads the excitement they've come to expect, but the production is jazzed up to interest even a non-fan/casual attendee looking for nighttime Vegas entertainment. While the amphitheater feels new, modern, & clean, it wasn't without its issues. I thought the sound was unnecessarily loud at times. Though not distorted, there were a few moments of discomfort that made me wish I'd brought earplugs like I do for most concerts. Also, while I was just a few rows from the front, the extreme angle of the side floor seats made it so I didn't have a great view unless the guys came right up to the edge of the stage. Take these gripes with a grain of salt, you'll have a spectacular time at the New Kids Residency; I will continue to attend their future shows in spite of these observations -- call it nitpicking from a lifelong Blockhead who can never get close enough to her favorite guys. read more

Fabulous beautiful comfortable venue. 4 stars due to people walking in front of you blocking your view if you are in a lower row... its like A-F is below the split where people walk and rows G H I is probably NOT where you wanna sit in 300 level at least. Otherwise sound is great and I would for sure return to this venue but try to get the right seat even though people say "there's no bad seat In the house" (it is a very intimate smaller venue) but people walking in front of you is part of concerts but still a little annoying if you can avoid it :) I ordered a "Dolby" which is basically lavender lemonade with vodka but I had it without vodka, it hit the spot. I should have ordered the large. Mariah shuffled around in those high heels but looked beautiful and sounded incredible at 55 years old! We left right at the last song (encore) and had zero issue getting a Lyft outside park MGM. read more

My first time at the Dolby. My wife and I saw John Mullaney recently. It's a great venue providing an intimate atmosphere especially for a one man show. There didn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. It's sits in the MGM Park on arguably the busiest intersection in Vegas. Although parking is plenty getting in and out is a pain. Give yourself plenty of time to park and get to the theater. read more

Like the musical acts, Dolby Live really rocks! Caught the Sammy Hagar residency in May and I must say that the sound is fantastic, the VIP Premium Seats incredibly comfortable and the staff uber friendly. Whether concertgoers get a seat on the floor or the balcony, the views are great. People do stand at concerts so if you want to stay in a seat without having your view blocked, get the VIP seats (which have table service) or upper balcony. When choosing the VIP tables, folks can pre-order light snacks (charcuterie board is nice) and/or bevvies (by the bottle or bucket). As with any venue, refreshments are pricey so plan the buffalo machine accordingly. read more

The Bruno Mars concert was everything!! From the point of entry, the staff was amazing helpful and nice. They escorted us to our seats and helped when needed. The venue is beautiful on the inside and well kept. The only downside, which I understand, was, the drinks were way overpriced at $30 a drink. Luckily you're able to bring outside drinks in where they will give you a plastic cup. I'd definitely come back for another concert experience. read more
