I had gone there from the beginning of them opening until unfortunately, the end of them being open this last year. I can honestly say it saddens me to see this place not up and running anymore the bud tenders were Very polite and never was unattended from doing work duties. I do know that they have opened a new place in Bangor called provisions, but it saddens me that I no longer have any interest in going there to their shop. The sign always says open in Bangor Michigan but when you go up to the door, it's always a locked and I use the main entrance. or they're always low on good supplies. Just saddens me a good place of business/owner not sure if it was the best move but wish them well!

Came into Artes and Craft mostly to look around. I have heard good things about this store from…read morefriends and I am glad I decided to encourage my husband to take me. He ended up purchasing a book about hoodoo and almost purchased a crystal but decided against it. We enjoyed talking with the employee (I believe he was one of the owners) behind the counter. He was super informative about the products they have and events they hold. If you are in Hartford or nearby and enjoy spiritual items, then Artes & Crafts is truly a must stop. If you aren't near enough to stop by the store, Artes & Crafts does have a website where they will ship items right to your doorstep. It's a great stop for those who love tarot cards, books about spiritual things like voodoo or hoodoo, and gem stones.

Well the day finally came, and they had limited of my size but thankfully they had a pair that I not only liked the colors of, but where insanely comfortable. They do have a free rewards program and if you buy non sale items that are over $100 you get a rebate. I know most of the time I'll probably buy items on sale, but that rewards program did cone in handy today. My husband did say he wants to grab some items in the future for camping, possibly a tent and some bags. They have lots of options, and I like that they had an area to test your shoes on rock like terrain. The employees are always friendly and helpful. We needed a decent amount of help during our visit and I'm grateful we got some help in guiding us to get the right shoes for me. Thanks Wonderlust, we shall be back.

This is a wonderful shop with gorgeous furniture! They specialize in Mission Oak and Craftsman…read morepieces and have high end pieces rarely found, especially so many all in one shop together. I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.
