We had life-changing results using Lucky Dog Training Club…read more My husband and I were struggling with our high energy, reactive 3 1/2 year old dog. We had tried numerous trainers, even tried meds for a short while with our Murphy. This winter we signed Murphy up for a Peggy Adams training course, Taming Tarzan. It was there we found Toni and her amazing team from Lucky Dog. During this course Murphy was finally responding to the positive tools given to us by these wonderful trainers. When these classes were finished we discussed with Toni how to proceed. Murphy is now enrolled in Lucky Dog's day training course where he receives one-on-one training where his special needs are worked on, group lessons where he learns to interact with other dogs and also structured walks where they assist in teaching Murphy better leash etiquette. And the best part is at the end of the day we are emailed videos of his training section so we can follow through at home. We cannot thank Toni and her amazing Lucky Dog Training team for all of their help. Murphy has dramatically improved and we are forever grateful. Highly recommend!

First the good: Very nice caring people…read moreGreat dog day care program Involved owner Convenient drop off and pick up Now the not good: Expensive - $1500 for a puppy training package. My dog didn't learn anything - they just throw treats then say a command. I had to continue any training on my own to teach necessary obedience. Also know, you can sign up for weekend or night group classes which you train the dog. These group classes were very affordable, good and independent of day training. If you want dog day care, this place is great. If you daily training with day care - not so good.

I would not recommend that anyone board their dog here. Vanessa is way too busy with way to many…read moredogs for her and her few employees to handle. They also use e collars(aka shock collars) to train and unless you are ok with that, I would not recommend that you do more than simple training or day care which seems to be fine, although there was one time in which ours came home seemingly more hungry than he should have been. So, that was concerning, but overall that was a pretty good experience. Despite expressing concern of our dogs safety through hurricane Isias which could put him in danger if something were to happen, Vanessa did not seem to have much of a plan besides to put the dogs in a crate and somehow figure out how to get them out for outside time. She also is in a low lying area in which could flood or loose power in which she claims to have a generator which is fine, but it didn't seem throughout any text that she was concerned. We also had several very unprofessional interactions with her on the Facebook page and through text. The page for members is hardly ever updated even though we were told we would see something there. Our dog was sent with plenty of food but didn't seem to be quite recieving the correct amount as it seemed like he only got one meal despite the claim that they are given two per day and that they are fed another meal which is if there isn't enough food in the container to last the full time. It was appalling to us that something like this could happen because it was really clear what the instructions were. When we had someone pick him up, we noticed that he still had more food than he should have left. They were also using choke collars which makes me uncomfortable. She was not very good at being responsive and was not good at following the directions we asked and was acting reluctant to let him leave with a neighbor. It just felt like we were the problem and it made us uncomfortable. The training was great, but there were several concerns that we had that were not addressed.
