I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. These are the kind of people who have an instance trustworthiness about them. They are professional and friendly. Hands down - if you are looking for a pet sitter for whatever reason, you will likely be joining us on Yelp! singing praises about the quality of services you will receive. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area. But seeing Valerie's preparation with all the necessary documents, vet information, emergency contacts, and daily schedule made it immediately clear we were in good hands. Valerie was watching our cat, which included feeding, playing, and litter-cleaning. She also offered to take in the mail, water any plants, and send text/photo updates as frequently as every day (we took her up on the last offer, which was charming and gave our family some good laughs over the holidays). There's an indoor and outdoor area which is nice so the facility can be flexible based on weather where the dogs play. This is not the frills, nap time required kind of vibe. It's an unassuming, barebones facility full of employees who just love dogs and dogs who love dogs. This was what worked for my pup- he doesn't care if it looks pretty to humans- he cares (and I care) how he's treated. And he was treated very well and would be jumping around in the parking lot as we would walk up because he was so excited. And the staff would be excited to see him as well. The cost is in line with other daycares in the area - buying a package will help the per day cost. For my pup - totally worth it.

I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.
