I have a puppy and was in town unexpectedly visiting family and I felt like my puppy needed to play/do something other than sit in his crate. A local friend suggested Doggy Depot and the first day I got conflicting reports on what my puppy did (one person said he played a lot and one person said he sat on the sidelines) -- so the next day I asked to watch him play and was flat out told no that I could not see the dogs playing--that is not okay in my book. If you're going to watch my dog and I ask to see what he's up to, to tell me that I can't because it would be too upsetting to the other dogs is just not okay. We have been using the daycare 1-3 times a week for exercise and socialization for the past couple years. I had been going to the local dog park, but my dog was attacked twice which meant an expensive trip to the vet! Never had a problem at the Depot, they know their dogs! They have the same steady staff and the owner is hands on and knowledgeable. We have had good boarding experiences too! I love that my dog isn't just stuck in a cage while I'm gone. Great for Socialization We've taken our pup to the Doggie Depot a few times and she's really enjoyed it. They have a great friendly staff, easy drop off, and most importantly a real love of dogs. Both times we've taken our pup there is has been for daycare plus boarding. I believe our girl likes it more than some of the boarding kennels she has been to in the past. She gets lots of socialization time out in the yard, playtime, and attention. If there is one drawback, it would be the weekend hours. We went out on a Friday and had to be back before 4pm Saturday in order to pick her up, which makes for a short weekend in this case. All in all though, we will keep coming back! read more

We have been taking our dogs to Doggy Depot for about 6 years. Sometimes for daycare and sometimes for several nights. Our dogs really get excited when they know they are going to play with their friends. The staff there is great. One of my dogs loves to go to see the people, the other, enjoys the dogs. After scheduling two weeks in advance to have our dog enrolled in their daycare for the weekend of my son's hockey tournament the day we were to leave town we dropped our dog off at 4:00 pm. when the lady went to take our dog through the gate she pulled his leash and he hit his head on the gate because he was trying to look at us, he was obviously scared and 10 min later they called us to come and get him because they said "its just not going to work out" when I picked him up he was so scared just sitting in the corner. I called the other dog daycare place and they require us to have a trial drop off for a few hours and they could not believe that The Doggy Depot did not even suggest this. I have found out that that is fairly common in this industry. They ruined our whole weekend! DO NOT TRUST YOUR DOG WITH THEM! read more

I have had two Golden Retrievers and when I was walking my dog one day a gal came along and told me about Doggy Depot for daycare. One of my goldens has since passed on but I have been taking my dogs there for years. They are the most friendly wonderful people. They all love dogs and treat them so wonderful. At first my husband thought it was silly to take a dog to daycare, but you wouldnt believe the difference in your dog after having them there. If I know that I am going to be gone most of the day I will take him there. Dogs get bored and lonely too. Dogs like to have friends just like your children do. At the end of the day they come home so exhausted. It is wonderful excercise for them and they get to play with their friends. They have swimming pools set up for the dogs and play toys and things for them it climb on. It is the absolute best thing that was ever created. A daycare for your dogs. They all line up at the fence and wonder whose mommy or daddy is coming to pick them up now. It is the cutest darn thing. If you are even hesitant dont be. We love Doggy Depot! They workers are all very kind and helpful. They really seem to have fun at their jobs, which makes bringing my puppy there much easier. He has so much fun too! They separate the dogs into different size and age categories so the pets are bound to find someone to bond with. There's a really cute inside area for them to play in, and an outside area. The outside doesn't look as pretty, but dogs are pretty happy to just hang out in the sun. My dog always comes back smelling good - I don't know what they do, but some sort of cream or powder they use is great! Their prices are by far the cheapest in town for daycare and overnight stays, and you get a discount if you pick them up early. I only gave 4 stars because Eddie and Barkus, while much more expensive, has webcams so you can check out what your dog is up to. If Doggy Depot could add that little extra touch, I'd give them 10 stars. read more
