I took my dog in to be groomed by Doggie D'Tails, and I will never do it again. Upon arrival, I let the groomer know that my dog had two skin tags on his body. I even pulled back his fur in both areas to show her where they were, and asked that they please be careful when shaving him down. I also told them that the vet had diagnosed him with dementia and that he might be confused or anxious. A few hours later when I went back to pick him up, I was greeted with complaints from the groomer because my dog wouldn't sit down. I responded by saying that yes, I had mentioned he would be anxious because he has dementia. I paid, retrieved him from the kennel, and left. When I got home, I noticed that he had not been bathed at all - his fur was just as dirty as it had been when I dropped him off. The fur on his tail was choppy and unevenly cut. Worst of all, they had completely cut off the skin tags I had warned them about. Fast forward two weeks later, and I had to make a trip to the vet for said injuries, which resulted in an $150 vet bill and two weeks worth of antibiotics for my dog because both areas where they severed his skin tags had become infected. They didn't bathe him, they did a poor job on his haircut, they cut off his skin tags - AND DIDN'T EVEN ADMIT TO IT WHEN I PICKED HIM UP - and met me with complaints because my 15 1/2 year old dog was anxious and wouldn't sit. Unprofessional behavior and sloppy work. I will NEVER take my dog back to this groomer. read more
