He always returns home tired but happy. We're always amazed at how well KJ walks with the group (as shown in the adorable videos William shares afterward) and other training that happens during the fun of Adventure Camp. A wonderful bonus is that the drop-off and pick-up for camp is always conveniently close to where we're staying. We have nothing but happy tales to tell about Tired Tails! It makes me wish we lived nearby! One day, during a longer stay, we'll look into training options.

However, my fears were soon set aside as Linda took my dog while I removed my board from my car and began putting on my wetsuit. Without me saying a word, she suggested walking my dog within eyeshot. Little by little, I started feeling more confident and was able to relax. Her suggestion of remaining close helped my dog to feel less worried as well as the yummy treats she fed her. What I found most remarkable about Linda was her flexibility. Like an expert surfer, she navigated the situation with ease, rootling through her trunk for a towel when I forgot one, finding water for my dog when she got thirsty, and safeguarding my car keys when I was in the water. All this while a wildfire was causing evacuations within a county of her house! Vacationing as a single person with a Border Collie is not without its challenges; thanks to Linda, I was in a better position to meet those challenges and have fun.

Plus socializing with the other dogs on the walks is an added bonus. Natalie also provides the sweetest little update emails every day with tons of adorable pictures. Having a pet provides many…read morebenefits for seniors including companionship, health benefits such as lowered blood pressure, reduced stress, increased social interaction and physical activity.  Having a pet can also pose potential hazards.  Many of those residing in assisted living facilities require walkers, wheelchairs or canes to aid in mobility.  Dogs can often get their leashes tangled and unintentionally cause accidents resulting in broken bones and other serious injuries. Although our specialty is with dogs and seniors, we are happy to walk any dog who needs the exercise.

This was probably the WORST experience I've ever had with a pet sitter. I received a call from my…read moreneighbor while I was out of town letting me know that my animals had not been fed that morning and that although I had paid in advance for overnight stays nobody had been at my house the night before. The neighbors went out to check on my dogs who were out at midnight barking, the horses still had their fly masks on and NO pet sitter was at the house. I had pre-shredded hay for an older horse and put it in containers. My neighbors checked on the animals and let me know there were at least two meals that hadn't been fed. Katie had several excuses as to why it wasn't done, including the excuse that some wolf hybrids had gotten loose at another pet sit. I can understand needing to leave to find the missing animals but I don't understand why my animals were neglected in the process and NO phone call was made to me. I made it very clear that I could be reached at any time and that my neighbors were available for back up. Thankfully my neighbors were looking out for my animals and not only notified me but took care of my hungry neglected pets themselves. Emergencies can be excused but the lies and deception by someone I hired and trusted to take care of my pets are inexcusable! If you want to have peace of mind while you are out of town, do not hire these people! How convenient to be required to pay in FULL in advance and then not perform the promised service.
