As a rescuer I have sent several dogs (Great Pyrenees) to Dog Logic to have them evaluated.... one dog especially had been deemed aggressive and we weren't certain that he could even be placed. After spending some time at Dog Logic with people who understand dogs and know what they are doing, the dog was placed and is doing great. Looking at previous unfavorable reviews I can only suggest that the exterior of the building has nothing to do with what goes on inside it. read more

Run, do not walk AWAY from this place! I pulled up to the facility hoping for a place to give my dog a few hours of daycare so I could get some errands done while he got some exercise. I almost turned around upon arrival. The grounds are unkempt and the building is in an unattractive location. I got my dog out of the car and went in. At first glance, the interior was alright - but even before we got in there was the sound of extremely aggressive barking. Eventually, a woman came to the desk. Her appearance was sloppy. I could see rows of dreary chain and concrete kennels leading back through the facility. She asked what she could do for us. I noticed my dog was whimpering and doing that shaking calming gesture several times. I told the woman that I was interested in a bit of daycare, but that I'd like a tour first. She immediately started to tell me how she was just training a couple of the dogs back there and that one was just "too mean" to let me back there - but it was okay if my dog stayed there anyway!!! She kept saying that it was just not a good day for a tour and that I should come back tomorrow when there would be a tour at 1:30. Strange. My dog was still freaked out and the dogs inside were still going insane. She wanted my contact information, but I declined and got out of there. When I got my dog back in the car he started licking my face and I told him he would never have to stay there. My stomach was very upset as I drove away because the vibe in that place was so horrible. I have heard horror stories before about other places not letting people look around and it was always bad news. I will never set foot back in this creepy place again. read more

Awful experience. Initially difficult to reach and unprofessional. Dog boarded for one night and returned home injured. Never again.

We have been a longtime client of Dog Logic. We go way back to when our Pitty was welcomed, not because of her breed but because of her personality. What we love is that the dogs can run with others and socialize. Since then we have rescued two more dogs, another Pitty and a French Bulldog mix. They were vetted and passed the personality test. We left them recently and the Pitty came down with kennel cough. I notified the owner, Belinda, and she quickly responded that she has taken measures to disinfect their facility and would pay for any vet bills resulting. The kennel cough vaccine only covers a few strains and it can happen. I appreciate their concern and their quick response. read more

This is THE best daycare in the Missoula area. My dog has been going here since she was a pup and I will never take her anywhere else. The owners and staff are VERY knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors, and even their psychology. They offered me a temperament test for my pup before she even started going there due to her Alpha female tendencies. They have treated and loved my dog as if she was one of their own, and have worked very hard on her socialization skills. They offer very reasonably priced daycare, boarding, and grooming rates. Their facility space is the best- spacious, clean, roomy kennels, and space for the pups to run in and outside. Not to mention they offer lots of fun things for your dogs like monthly birthday parties, Halloween party with costumes and hair painting, and hikes. I owe my dog's well learned behaviors to these people at Dog Logic. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. read more

My experience with Dog Logic was pretty bad. This is going to be a long review but I'll try to keep it short. I'm really unhappy with this place and do not recommend anyone take their dog there. When we first pulled up to board our dogs we were put off by the appearance of the building. Its basically a warehouse with no grass outside for dogs to play on and on the edge of an industrial area right next to the railroad tracks. When we went inside, before we even brought our dogs in, we asked for a tour but were denied "for insurance purposes" (more on that in a minute). We are from out of town and aren't familiar with other boarding places (let alone this one) so we went ahead and boarded our dogs here. Our puppy is very timid and is extremely scared and submissive around other dogs, we can't even take her to dog parks without her freaking out, so we told the employee this and she said she would keep her in the "small dogs area" because it was empty. So we left them there and came back the next day and met the owner of the business who informed us that my puppy had "sprained her knee" and couldn't put any weight on her back right leg. I was pretty upset because we left an emergency contact cell phone number that they neglected to use the day before when the injury happened. Then I saw both of my dogs in the main play area, bunched up in a corner with about 50 dogs surrounding them. They knew my dog was injured yet left her in with all the other dogs. I asked how the injury happened and the owner told me she was playing with another puppy in the small dogs area when she fell off a plywood ramp. I really think I was lied to, my puppy is terrified of other dogs and I think she was in the main play area and was being chased by other larger dogs when she fell off the ramp and got hurt. Then they brought our dogs out to us and I was heart broken to see my puppy hobbling on only three legs. She did nothing to deserve being injured and left in such a frightening situation. Normally when she greets me she is the happiest, wiggliest puppy you've ever seen but this time she just laid at my feet and whimpered. "She'll be alright in a day or two" is what the owner told me. I asked what the process will be if this is a serious injury like a broken leg or something, how do I get in touch with their insurance? Her exact response was "Well, we don't really have insurance for this sort of thing." My jaw dropped, I was in complete disbelief. I told her I really can't afford vet bills if this is serious, nor do I feel like I should be responsible for them and she mumbled something and walked out of the room. If I hadn't paid the day before I honestly would have just left without paying. Later I had them fax me a copy of the contract I signed and they have a catch all that says they are not responsible for your dog if it is injured or becomes ill under their care. A moment after the owner turned her back on us the employee who checked us in the day before came in the front door, so I asked her the same question about insurance and she wanted to ask her boss, but I stopped her and said I already asked her but she didn't give us an answer and just walked away. So we got our dogs home and I gave my puppy low dose aspirin and put ice on her hurt leg, and we now have an appointment with the vet to make sure her injuries are not severe. I highly recommend everyone stay as far away from Dog Logic as possible. If you love your dog at all you will not leave it under their "care and supervision". read more
