First time using the self service wash and I'm pretty happy with the experience. The area is clean, safely closed off for my escape artist pup to not run away, and the wash machine itself is pretty easy to use and self explanatory. Took my tiny chi for nail trim service and offered while she went back to hold her if she needed a hand, which she didn't respond so I don't know if she heard me but there was someone else in the back room with her. I don't care that you can't see the grooming area here. I was telling my husband it's been a while I hope all is ok...the lady came out and said she nicked her paw pad but used the powder to stop the bleeding. I looked at her paw while she was still holding her and I see quite a bit of blood smeared on her hand I said she is still bleeding! She went back to the back room again and was back there a good 15 more minutes. She had a lot of powder packed on her paw. She did apologize and didn't charge for it and did offer if I had to take her to the vet to let her know-which I did appreciate, but it was more than just a small nick. My chi was seriously shaking and depressed for 2 days. The nick went from the top of her foot down between her nails and the bottom of her pad. She should have had someone hold her because that should never have happened. Also she stank so bad-perhaps change the apron you wear when grooming stinky dogs. I couldn't bathe her for the 2 days because I didn't want her to bleed again and she was too shaky. I enjoy your bakery area and treats but I won't get grooming here again. read more

I can't believe I've never ventured into this store until just this year! The staff know their stuff and genuinely care about the animals that are brought in. Every time I go I always take my rescue dog so he can socialize and he loves it there! The food there is a little more pricey than the main pet stores (petsmart, petco etc.) but that's because the brands offered here are better quality. I went to the checkout and stood there holding my purchase and watched 4 different employees come up to the register and totally ignore the fact I was standing there waiting. When the 4th person came up she was ready to do something else when she glanced up and saw me staring at her. She asked if I was helped yet. Ordered some custom dog cookies and gave very specific instructions on the design and how they were to look. What I got was far from it, extremely displeased. They were supposed to call me yesterday to tell me they were ready and they didn't, I had to call and find out. They've lost a lot of my trust and obviously shown a bunch of liberal morons sabotaged these cookies based on the theme and who they were for. $110 wasted when I was just trying to support a small business and used to trust. Came in to use the self service dog wash station, it was awesome! It's an automated process and you use a token to start the 20 minute wash process. You press buttons to switch it from shampoo/conditioner /blow dryer etc. It only took me 15 mins to wash my 75# doodle. They also have small towels to use to dry as well. I only wish they had more than one station as there were lots of people here that were waiting to use it! read more

My husband and I have been customers of Dog Krazy for the past 4 years or so, back when the downtown Fxbg William St location was their only spot at the time! I'm so happy that we stumbled into their store those years ago as we found people who truly care about the well-being and health of your dog (Dog Krazy people are exactly my kind of people!). Honestly, I had no clue about pet nutrition before walking into Dog Krazy and there's still so much to learn. Naively, I had always trusted the Blue Buffalo commercials and what my vet had prescribed was the proper diet for my babies (cause they are supposed to know best, right?). Unfortunately, it's not the case at all. Vets are not 'experts' in nutrition (unless board-certified veterinary nutritionists), only have a semester course dedicated to nutrition and virtually know nothing about it. Food reps encourage veterinarians to sell their 'veterinary only' food, as it was deemed exclusive, and sold with a higher mark up. I was told that the pet food was 'good quality', backed by 'scientific research', and so much better than those grocery store brands. How misled I was. We have since moved our dogs and cats to a diet that consists of a combination of a pre-balanced raw diet and freeze-dried. My cats' itchy and flaky skin disappeared completely and our dogs are all seniors and still going strong! My girl Sadie (the light of my life) is 16 and still will sprint across our backyard towards our neighbors dog! Providing the right nutrition will ensure your dog grows healthy and strong, bestowing long-lasting health and well-being - the greatest gift I could ever give them (and in turn, myself). I also want to point out that I am a photographer, and when one of my dogs needed a pacemaker, she offered to allow me to raise money for donations towards our Abby's surgery when I took photos of customer's dogs with Santa/the Grinch at their Lees Hill location. I will never forget that thoughtful gesture at a time when we were struggling so much with fear of what the future held for our baby girl. To Nancy and Piglet - because of you, so many of us have been able to gain precious time with our loved ones. We could never thank you enough for that. read more

I'm so happy they opened a second location, it's very close to my house! My mini dachshund just had a tooth removed and I forgot to pick up wet food for her. My husband called them on his way home from work and asked if they wouldn't mind staying open 5 minutes after closing so he could pick some up. Phenomenal customer service. On January 10, 2020, a super nice girl helped me pick out a new cat gift for my friend who loved it. On January 14, 2020, me and my new dog Quinten were in the area of the store and decided to stop by. Got the same girl. OMG, she helped me pick out new food, treats, cloths etc.. it was amazing. My dog got to try everything before we purchased it to see if he liked it. I've only had him for three weeks. Wow, I couldn't have asked for better service. Rachel is fantastic! I rescued a dog last year and have never been able to get her groomed because she is so fearful of strangers (usually). Rachel trimmed her nails a few weeks back and today I took her in for her first grooming appointment. Just had my Yorkie Maltese groomed here by Rachel. My taz is little high energy and a barker she did a wonderful job listening to my concerns before grooming him. Took my beautiful Border Collie / Australian Shepherd to get a trim at Dog Krazy 2 on Sunday. Expressed to the groomer that I liked my dog's beautiful feathers, but they just needed a trim. Just stopped by this location to check out the treats and snacks they have for dogs. It's kinda small inside and not a huge selection but there's a decent amount of treats, dog food, and toys to choose from! The young lady working the front was extremely helpful in helping me choose a bone for my dogs. She was also very informing about the grooming services. I have an English Bulldog and the grooming prices don't seem to be too bad comparing to other locations! Will be back in the future. read more

I brought Patience, my Shetland Sheepdog, in for grooming. Called at 11:30 a.m. Rachel Shook was able to take him at 1:00 p.m. She did an outstanding job! She called me before 3:00 because he was done and ready for pickup. I highly recommend her to those looking for a groomer. My dog is not a show dog. Feathers do not concern me. I love him looking well groomed, and he sure did when I got there. I had the deshedding treatment done - what that is exactly I don't know, but Rachel assured me it would not have any side effects other than considerably less hair in my house.
