Her file on my dog was wrong he had the wrong name wrong type of dog wrong phone number. Unless you can even keep the appointment straight. I will never take my dog back to this person. We now go to Rub-A-Dub and I'm so much happier. read more

Sheila is a customer who called for an appointment. And made the appointment (in 2017!). I called to change her appointment many times for a week. Every time I called, the message said "mailbox full". I had an urgent appointment with my dentist & I needed to reschedule her appointment. Called every day for about a week. Mailbox still full. On the day of her appointment, she showed up. I am in the middle of dressing; still in my robe. She is surprised to find I am not ready to receive her & is angry. I explained to her I have been trying to call her but her mailbox is still full. I invite her into my shop & of course, my shop is not open yet, so it is dark in there. Then I explained to her that her dog is matted & I may have to strip the dog. She disagrees highly & walks away angrily. Next thing I know , 6 months later, I find on yelp this lady saying I am old & I am NOT old. That my shop was dark when I had NOT opened yet. She complained about my wearing my glasses when I have a disablement in my eyes & am sensitive to light. I felt sad for this lady when she put me down or anyone for their disability. * Note to Groomers: Be sure to stick up for yourself. When you feel you are unjustly accused. Let the the first one without sin cast the first stone. read more

Yvonne is a great great great groomer. I actually come up from the Bay Area to have her groom my Jax every 2 months. She fast, my dog loves her and your dog doesn't have to sit half the day and wait. Been going to Yvonne for several years. She grooms both my poodles (one of whom was a pound rescue with matted fur), and she always does a terrific job. Very detailed and thorough work. Yvonne never seems to remember me but remembers my dogs. Her quirkiness is adorable, and I go to her for the professionalism, not to chat with her over tea. read more

DO NOT EVER take your animals here. She abuses them and screams at them. My dog came out cut and bloody in several different areas. She needs to be shut down! Zero starts wasn't an option but 0 starts is what this business deserves! read more

I have been going to dog gone good for over a yr, I have two dogs that she washes, cut, and dry. I am very happy. Over the year she has called, cancel an appt., but is booked immediately for another. We all have things that changed. Including me having to reschedule, and she accommodate right away with the change. I love this women with sunglasses. She has a problem, so what if she wears sunglasses, she has a problem because she is sensitive to light, some people should not judge, She is such a great lady. I see were a lady says she hit her dog. That is a lie. She has never hit a dog. I don't think she has every came to doggone good because she doesn't have a file on her and she keeps file on everybody. So obviously she has never came here read more

I've been taking my miniature schnauzer here to be groomed for about 7 yrs. He always looks amazing. Yvonne always does a professional job. She is friendly, doesn't use perfumed products which is preferred by our pets. She listens to my grooming preferences and keeps notes for future. She is very practical and doesn't try to "upsell" by offering lots of extra products that make you feel guilty if don't want to buy their inventory. Keep up the great work, Dog on Good! read more

Please please PLEASE do not waste your time on this woman. I had an appointment scheduled for today at 3 to get my miniature poodle groomed. As soon as I get there I am greeted by an older woman wearing sunglasses asking me if I got her message. I walk into a darkened room she fallows myself and my dog in she doesn't remove her sun glasses. And she proceeds to tell me that her Dr. had called her and scheduled her to go in to see him at 4:30 and so she has to leave at 4. So she "will try and get it done". I say ok, even though that should have been the first alarm going off. And I should have taken my poodle and walked out right then. But I didn't and I pick her up and set her on the table. The woman (whom never told me her name, she just referred to herself as "Dog Gone Good") proceeds to stick her combe and pull on my poodles hair to show me how "matted" she was. My poodle did have matting, but the reason why I decided to give this woman a try was because a previous review on here that talked about how well she had done with a matted puppy. She continued to yank on my poodles hair over and over. She said that she could not guarantee not to "cut my dog" because of the matting. That's when I said enough and took my poodle and walked out. She made me rush home from work. To wast my time and money on gas for nothing. I would never trust this woman with any of my pets. Please be very careful who you trust your fur babies to. They may seem like they know what they are doing, but the way they go about it may be traumatizing to your pet. read more

The owner, Sam, really knows her stuff! She handled my tiny matted puppy and the clippers like they were extensions of herself. She let me be present and hold/help/assist, which I really really appreciate, so my 7 month old dog wasn't traumatized in any way. I didn't know about matting and she got all the matted hair off. She switched clipper "tips" when they felt warm, let my pup have some needed breaks, and she was very patient - yet firm and in charge. My dog weighs 3 lbs(maybe) and Sam didn't knick, scratch, or cut her at all. I was also surprised my pup behaved so well. It was due to SAM's gentle, yet authoritative way. I found out more from Sam than I did from the vet. She answered my questions thoroughly and knowledgeably. We were the only ones there-no other dogs or people to deal with and there was no urine or feces odor. (But she was not at all uptight about my pup having an accident.). She's been dog grooming for 32 years and I feel like I struck gold now that I've found her!!! I heard about her from a friend who took his cat to her and cat looks fantastic! (Sort of like a lion.) He said he stayed and watched. His description of the experience is why I called. I like that she grooms with owner present and doesn't 'manhandle' the animals. My little dog loves her mat free body and she still has a bit of 'puppy' cut on her head and tail. In fact, when it was over the dog kept jumping up on Sam to play and show affection. (No trauma for her!) A good groomer sure feels relaxing at end of day :):) !!!! I no longer stress about getting my little dog groomed humanely, properly, and cutely. Thank you, Sam. read more

After trying other Red Bluff groomers, I started bringing my Papillion to Yvonne Scott of Dog Gone Good. I've stayed with Yvonne for the past six years because she does a great job and includes nail clipping gland cleaning at no extra charge. We recently got a 55 pound German Shepard, which I also take to Yvonne. I am happy with my dogs' cuts and care. Not only does Yvonne have a calming effect on my pets, her rates are extraordinarily reasonable. I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else. read more
