I'm embarassed to say I've lived here 25 years and never eaten at Dog Et Al. Well I finally took the time to stop in this week and am really glad I did. The menu is simple - hot dogs and hamburgers. But what makes them good is the hot dogs are really good. And the burgers are hand pattied and cooked beautifully. The fries - perfectly crispy fried hand cut fries - yum! We had onion rings which were just frozen onion rings and the apple pie was the same. But the main draw is the dogs and burgers. Orders are cooked as you place them so we did have to wait a minute to get our food but it was well worth it. The restaurant is small and the parking is limited. But they've been here since 1984 so it is obviously big enough to support the capitol crowd that I certainly hope patronizes it!

Once a historic stable of Tallahassee, the times have changed. I lhave loved this place since my childhood days but I don't know if its a result of new ownership but the food quality has definitely declined. This was my first time back in years and the service is not as friendly as it used to be either. I was hesitant once I saw the help wanted sign on the door which is usually a sign a place is struggling. Fries did not look good and my corndog was not appetizing either. I will stick to corndogs at the fair.

The best management team in Tally!

You have to hit up the new location! All the things you love about Dog et Al but in a brand new space! Great look inside lots of seating. The best chili dog in FLA. Definitely worth a stop!

FOOD/DRINKS: I ordered the Corn Dog and it happened to be BOGO on this day. I got the beef corn dog but they also have an option for a turkey corn dog. I got fries on the side. The portion side was great and I got a lemonade to drink. It was southern sweet and MMM MMM GOOD! * For vegetarians- there is an option of a veggie dog! SERVICE: Oh how I love locally owned places. The guy behind the counter is super nice and super friendly! The food came out quick and we had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our food. ATMOSPHERE: Casual. Kid friendly. Family oriented. Quaint. LOCATION: Ample lot parking. PROs- Food quality, price and service CONs- NONE!

When it was the best.

1st, ordered from the menu board and everything was charged differently than the prices posted. (More) was told sorry, we are working on that. 2ed, waited a long time for hotdogs and fries. 3rd once we got our food it was cold. The dog, chili, everything. It's never been the same since it was sold.

Cute, retro place with fast service and tasty food. We went during a Facebook event so I'm not sure if this is how busy it is all the time or not. I tried their veggie dog and was pleasantly surprised. It had the same texture as a regular hot dog and didn't have a weird aftertaste that some non-meat dogs have. I personally prefer potato rolls with my burgers/ dogs because the bun holds up better, their flour buns got a little soggy with my toppings. They get points though for how many free toppings they had, all delicious. I got coleslaw and peppers on mine, my friend got a chili dog that smelled amazing. I thought the fries were delicious! Hand cut and perfectly salty and they had VINEGAR!! That's how you know the fries are good.

Cornbread combo with fries and a pie, three little dogs with toppings, side of chips!

Food is great, especially the handmade chips. But be very careful, as the floors are super slick, definitely a slip and fall hazard.

Very dingy. Food was old. Regret stopping in. However, the young lady running the app was incredibly nice.

My dining companion and I visited El Rincón Latino Colombian Restaurant on recent Friday night…read more Since the universities have dismissed for summer break, we thought this would be a fine time to try this restaurant again. A restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. We went inside, but let the server know we were gonna sit outside. Several minutes passed and menus were delivered. It took several more minutes for the server to return and take our order. I have to say the food is worth the price of admission! We ordered enough options so that we could take home leftovers for the next day's lunch. We ordered the chorizo tacos, served, and softshell flour tortillas. They must've been baked slightly because they had a little bit of structure to them. There is ample chorizo in each taco. Delicious! We also ordered an arepa, empanadas, tostones, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, plated individually, and tasted wonderful. My question the reason we don't visit this restaurant more often. We were glad to visit and we plan to return!

(Deslice había abajo para español) Unfortunately, this…read morerestaurant was a big disappointment. The food is extremely overpriced for both the quality and the portion sizes. The tostones were not fresh and were obviously previously frozen. The rice was overcooked, and the chicharrones were overcooked to the point of being almost burned, with a rancid flavor that has nothing to do with authentic Colombian chicharrón. Additionally, the chicharrón pieces were neither large nor wide, as traditional Colombian chicharrón should be. The chorizo in the bandeja paisa tasted like a strange mix between Colombian and Mexican chorizo, which simply does not belong in a traditional bandeja paisa. Honestly, it felt more like a "bandeja paisa junior." The egg was fried without asking for cooking preference, which was disappointing. The grilled chicken with onions was not grilled at all--it was a very thin chicken breast cooked on a flat top with excessive oil. The beans had excellent flavor, but they were served cold, which is unacceptable. The empanadas were delicious, but again, way overpriced. Overall, the prices are unjustifiably high for what you get. I do not recommend this place, and I definitely will not be returning.

The best I can describe it, is that it has a retro-craft feel. I really dig it. Food comes out quick and is excellent. Bar tender and staff is friendly and chill. You can taste the cooking oil is kept clean, and is changed often by the fries and the smell. You can taste the food is made to order with real food. They also have cool events all the time. Like a poker night, and trivia night. I think the poker nights are Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and 8pm. It's a little hard to find, tucked behind another building, just off the main road. Carful parking the little lot in the back, they have a massive pot-hole thing... just go real slow. Always seem to meet the most interesting people there. Nelson's Burger Bar is the "misfit island of toys" of the burger scene. Infact "scene" is exactly the right word to describe it. This place is a total trip. Next time your craving a beer and good burger, get yourself over here.

We sat at the bar- they had indoor and outdoor as well, but the bar was good. Our server was amazing- funny & knowledgeable about the menu- loved him. My husband ordered the Carolina dog and the Nelson burger and he loved them both. I loved my Nelson burger as well. It was big, but it was tasty and seemed like we had just cooked it on our grill outdoors. It was a nice, clean, bright space, and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back if we are in the area - craving a burger, hotdog, or sandwich - all of the sides/extras looked amazing as well. We will have to try those next time.
