I have been going to this store for the past 15 years as a local. I've seen it progress over time, and now I can say it's truly been run into the ground in every aspect by the current management. The store operators run this like a gas station in Newark NJ, not like a small town country store in New Hampshire. There is no native NH humble pride in the people who run this store. Zero personality, don't care who you are, no nod to any New Hampshire tradition. The operators are disorganized, do not know their products (do not know the price or what they're selling), do not speak to you, do not make quality sandwiches in their deli, and are playing either strange music or no music. They now sell a huge variety of smoking apparatus (bowls, bongs, glass pieces) like this is a city vape shop. It is clear that they do not care about a reputation; my steak and cheese sandwich had microwaved meat, microwaved onions and peppers slapped on a non-toasted bun. They simply just scan barcodes and ask debit or credit, and go through the motions to get through the day. They don't even put anything in bags; they just check out and give you a hollow stare, expecting you to pick up your items and leave. I even had a woman working there use a brown paper lunch bag as a grocery bag (what even?), fill it with half of the products that I purchased, then stare at me as if she's never packed a bag before with the rest of my things sitting next to the bag. It was so strange. I really hope someone new comes by and really makes that store the original Dodge's store, with great food and great atmosphere that it used to be. This is a good sized country store located in a big old red house in the center of New Boston. The guys at my work tend to stop at mom & pop country stores like this one to grab a bite to eat while driving out in the field. Dodge's Store sells small groceries, convenience items, lottery tickets, newspapers, cold drinks, beer, fresh brewed New England Coffee (self serve carafes), and a selection of baked goods and heat & serve prepared food items and readymade salads from Mike's Red Barn (location in Salem), same ownership of this store. There's also a full service grill and deli food counter in the back offering made to order subs, sandwiches, salads, and fried seafood at reasonable prices. Most large subs are under $5, except for chicken salad and steak & cheese, which are around $6. I stopped in here for a quick bite recently while I was working in the area. The food options for lunch are very limited out here. I got a large seafood salad sub prepared to order with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and American cheese and a cup of hot coffee, pay at the front register. The service was prompt and friendly, quick and convenient! The sub was pretty good tasting which had tender chunks of imitation crab loaded in a light mayo mix. Dodge's Store is a now stop on my rotation for a quick bite to eat whenever I have to be in the area. read more

I used to love Dodge's store. It was actually my first job ever. I recently moved back to New Boston and now the Dodge's employees make their own rules. I went in there to get a sandwich and they told me they aren't making them cuz it was slow. I went in at 7:45 the other day and they told me they were closing. I asked what tine are u open till they said 9. I told them it's not even 8 and they stuttered and told me they were closing early cuz it was slow. So I guess they can just close when ever they want now. On top of that I get it's gonna be more expensive cuz for one it's a general store and 2 it's a monopoly in new Boston cuz it's the only store we have but their prices have skyrocketed to the point I will drive to Goffstown to get what I need. Id rather pay for the gas and waste my time driving out there then support the outrageous prices!! Dodges store if u r reading this, your sign says u close at 9 b open till 9!! what happens to the person who is coming home from work and is trying to stop at the store on the way home and because u decided to close early cuz I just wanted to now they can't or they have to turn around and go to Goffstown read more

Stopped in on my meander and got a wrap. It was enormous! Two meals in one! All the snacks a girl could ask for, plus tasty beverages. Writing this review now so I can find the place again and get another sandwich. It was worth the drive. read more

First off, the phone number on their Yelp profile is wrong. There when you need them (for the most part). They're the only game in town and have most necessities but since they close earlier than we need sometimes we hike it up to Cumby's. You will definitely pay a premium here but I guess that's the price of convenience. read more

I want to like Dodge's; I really do. But I can't. In true only-show-in-town fashion, their limited sundries are well above TWICE the price you'd pay at a regular grocery store. My two stars are for soda and chips...that's all I'd say is worth buying here. My real gripe is the older man who works at the deli. He is downright rude! I have ordered sandwiches THREE times from this guy, each time hoping that maybe the time before he was just in a bad mood. Nope. Turns out that's All. The. Time. I don't know if he thinks being "grouchy" is an endearing old man thing, but it's not. It's rude. And poor customer service. I wish I could love and support this local business, but alas, I find myself going to the Friendly Beaver Campground store on Old Coach Rd - open to the public and the prices are way more reasonable! read more

If we are comparing this to other stores of it's type, general stores, it doesn't get much better. It's not a restaurant, but they do have good food available to go. A great place to grab a coffee, a sandwich, beers, wine, etc. In the summer, grabbing a seat out front with a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, it doesn't get any better. The store is not the same. Ever since, prices seem higher. It is almost worth driving all the way to another town where there is a better selection of groceries. The employees are always goofing around every time I walk in or are just plain rude. The food is not the quality you would expect even with the high prices. Don't ever expect to find what you are looking for in this store either because it doesn't have much compared to other general stores I would only buy from this store as a last resort. Otherwise, drive to Goffstown or Bedford. The only positive thing I have to say about them is that they can make a fantastic Dodges deli sub. read more

I went into the store to purchase ice cream, chips, beverages, and making for samores. The older man that works there was so down right rude to me that I or my family will never step foot back in this place again!! His attitude was condescending, and very degrading. I walked right out and left the items right on the counter. With the prices so high to begin with, he should be a little bit friendly to customers. Friendly beaver campground store and New Boston pizza will get my business. read more
