For prices equivalent to a more up market practice Doctor today has some short comings.
Initially you may miss it as it looks like a recently closed down car supplies shop.
On entering you may feel it is an NHS practice in the east end.
The receptionist however is bright, friendly and welcoming. You fill in your details and again the Doctors are welcoming and friendly. This makes up for the rather dingy rooms. Although well equipped, again it would seem the high prices could go towards a lick of paint or some brighter bulbs and decorations.
The examination, while thorough, seemed more to justify the high consult charge of 90 pounds for 5 minutes, than to actually be of medical value, even though that did include medication (that would cost you about 2 pounds).
As I have a great deal of experience in private practice abroad and the UK, its plain to see when someone is going through the motions. I can imagine however, to some that is a value added aspect. Comparing the service to the NHS and private clinicss abroad it is far too expensive and not worth it. Comparing it to private clinics in the UK, it needs to raise its game and start to decorate the place. It really looks like they are about to jump ship anytime soon. read more
