Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods - Game of Thrones beer! Beware, even though it says blonde ale, it's pretty much an IPA.

Probably the best store for alcohol in Lubbock. Massive selection here - I think it's the largest…read morein the city. They have wines of all kinds from all over the world and all the way down to those straight from nearby in Texas. Beer galore to choose from - there's always something unique to try out. And of course the huge selection of liquors goes without saying. Noteworthy is their ever-growing Japanese whiskey selection. There are tons of the small shot bottles that make great gifts for the holidays or a great way to sample. Don't forget the humidor for your cigar fix, too. The prices are on par with those I've seen in other states around the country. They have a credit price and a cash price that's 5% cheaper than that. There's also a by-the-box/case price for liquors. They regularly have sample servers here meaning you can almost always try some of the drinks out in-store, though it's never an obligation to buy them. The staff members are always friendly, helpful, and seem pretty easygoing. The store is bright and laid out in a way that you can see the signage easily from one end to the other. They play music over the PA system and their theme mascot is a rabbit. Again, if you're looking for alcohol in Lubbock, especially something obscure, this is the best place to find it.

Stank so much that I could not have eaten, could not shop, could not even stay…read more It is not unusual for flower stores and knick-knack corners to put out a scent. But not so heavy that people get sick! Not so much that it goes into your food court or grocery store!!!! I could not stay -- for sure -- but tried to be kind enough to leave some feedback for the management. Oh wow! Asked specifically for the GM and the girl with an assistant tag told me she was the manager! Really? I had specifically asked for the GM! On and on. I had to be on my way out pretty fast, or I was going to vomit. I found a person at the customer service counter who at least looked mature enough to have a conversation, tried to leave my feedback. That was working fairly well, until the first girl came back. Ended up, they laughed at me. Impolite and refused correction. I am home two days later, still sick from this stink! And not of delicate constitution! And no chemical sensitivities like others! I ate at United 98th and Quaker and no stink. Too cold; too blowing, but no stink. I ate at Market Street 50th & Indiana, some stink but only in the entry ways. Y'all must do better. If people get sick because they come into your store, they will go elsewhere, and you will lose money. And if you act badly when they try to help you ... that goes double. Lubbock really stinks to the point of being unhealthy -- and I am NOT talking about the feedlot! or the oil&gas industry! I am tired to going to Lubbock and coming back sick from this sort of stink!

Located in the heart of Lubbock, Good Line is going to be the best beer you can get in West Texas…read moreand can go toe to toe with competitors in Austin or Dallas any day of the week. Good Line publicly opened its doors in mid-2022, and after I turned 21 that November, I immediately found myself becoming a regular. Through my final two years of college, I would always come to get some easy school work done, work on final projects, grab some beers with my friends, and come to their fun events like Oktoberfest, 4th of July, their anniversary parties, Cinco De Mayo with Jiminez, Lager Jam West, and more. From the owners Chris and Shawn to their staff like Eli and others, they are all very charming and great people to talk to. They all know their stuff when it comes to beer, so they can guide people who only know Miller Lite and Blue Moon as well as those with a more expansive palate, making sure each person gets the right beer for themselves. I always found myself trying new beers and styles done exceptionally well by Good Line that I may have never tried if not for their location existing. Some of my favorites they have served are Range Life, Parklife, which I miss since it has not made a return in some time, Floating in Space, These Pretzels, Wish I Was A Baller, All Night Candlelight, Specifics On The General, and Old Man Marley, to name a few. They also have a killer Cherry Seltzer and a pretty good wine based margarita. Their cheaper light beer, Friendo, is another great choice for people who are not looking for crazy craft beer but can still appreciate quality. There is plenty to do at Good Line, from watching major sporting events to joining the Monday night run club, participating in their book club, or just chopping it up with other Lubbock residents. It feels like a third space for a very specific kind of person. A person that loves a good beer but does not get plastered. A person that loves a good conversation on music with someone they have never met before. It is always a great time at Good Line, and I have met some really great people and regulars just from the times I have visited. I do not live in Lubbock anymore after graduating, but every time I visit, I always make a stop once or twice because it is always worth my time. God bless the Line. Come by sometime and experience the highest level of beer and comfort. RIYL: Good craft beer in the heart of Lubbock.
