Every table is a small with four seats, which makes it harder to mingle and get to know other people. My biggest complaint is the food and service; the beef was mostly burnt chunks, the sausage was bland, the tortillas were dry, and insisting that one person serve from two meat trays for 500+ people made it take forever. They had to start the program while half the people were still in line so that the schedule for the whole night wouldn't be thrown off. They even made a big deal about forming two lines and going down both sides of the table, but Chuck had to mete out the burnt beef, weird tortillas, and nameless sausage one person at a time. Then, after serving yourself beans, corn, and potatoes, the peach cobbler was pre-portioned in servings of about three tablespoons! And it was cold. Worst "Texas BBQ" I have ever had, even compared to other event centers. Staff came through while the kids were doing awards and took plates, even though some of them had barely started eating. I will never recommend 4BarK as a location for an organizational event. Two stars because none of the staff was actively rude. P.S. The restrooms are labeled as "Stables" and are about that nice - gentlemen might as well go urinate on the barn wall out back.

This one was on Quaker Ave - a short drive to our hotel near the Buddy Holly Hall with Texas Loop 289 and Interstate 27 nearby. It's a large store with free, ample parking all around. It's organized. Clean. The sections are labeled clearly. While the folks working there were nice, they kept to themselves on the afternoon of June 23, 2023. Often they were in the aisles restocking stuff which irritates the fire out of me, but I walked out a happy customer. My significant other said his mom & aunt loved these hot & spicy pickles soaked in Ole Smoky Moonshine. So we bought a jar ($20.94). They were just okay to me. He had never tried Crown Royal vanilla, so I got one of the 50ML miniature bottles ($2.99). There were some great gift ideas in cool bottles. Cigars. Cigarettes. All the heart failure vices. Lol. The food was room-temperature at best. The mashed potatoes were definitely bagged, sadly. The plates were dirty too. On top of all the unpleasantries, the staff was rude and did not look professional. We will give them a B- on the desserts. Finally, after sitting for an hour at a table without anything to drink, there was only unsweet tea available. We asked for water but were denied any. Door Dash would have been a much better option at this formal gathering. P.S. They ran out of desert, so not all of our football boys got some. This is insanely awful!!!

BTW, if you don't want to drive out there, there're a few liquor stores in Buffalo Springs, an unincoporated town of Lubbock, southeast of the Loop.

It's located in the southern area of Lubbock, TX, which is growing like a West Texas weed - fast! I brought my ice packs and cooler just to shop here after a long pulmonology appointment for my daughter on February 17, 2026. I'm learning that the HEB brands are okay in most cases, but their chips and other items have bioengineered (genetically-modified) ingredients that are probably also in other items I buy, but it's disappointing... something to watch since there still isn't much information about the health risks. The staff members stay fairly busy so they don't go out of their way to assist folks, but our cashier was real friendly. The Texas section is one of my favorites. There are so many neat gifts for all my Texans. It has a gas station too. Happy shopping, y'all.

The décor, aesthetic, and layout made for a beautiful backdrop for my daughter's wedding reception, and the day-of staff were kind, apologetic, and genuinely tried to address issues as they came up. That part of the experience was appreciated. However, the coordination leading up to and during the event was deeply disappointing -- especially for such a significant occasion. The cocktail hour was scheduled to begin at 2:30, but the setup team had it listed as 3:15, creating immediate confusion. When cocktail hour did start on time, we waited for appetizers we were told wouldn't arrive until 3:00 -- and they didn't actually show up until 3:30, leaving only 15-20 minutes before the hour ended. The bar situation was equally frustrating. I had paid for 200 beers to be available during the cocktail hour, which flowed into the reception. However, once those ran out, I was told there would be no additional beer available -- despite having specifically arranged for a cash bar with four beer options to continue through the reception. At that point, staff said they would have to try to source beer from the neighboring restaurant. That is not something guests should ever hear at a paid, planned event. Dinner brought another surprise: the tortillas provided by the neighboring restaurant were frozen, causing a 10-15 minute delay for fresh ones to be prepared. Dinner gets 5/10. Most of these issues trace back to communication problems with our coordinator, Rose. There were multiple instances where I requested information and received no response -- yet when payment was due, I received an invoice and a call at 3:30 PM demanding payment by 5:00 PM the same day. The venue has real potential and the space is genuinely lovely. But coordination and follow-through need significant improvement before I could recommend it without reservation for a major event.
