History

Established in 2008.

Dockwood Music Instruction started with one student and has steadily increase since it's establishment in 2008. Offering Songwriting Bootcamps every summer and involved in the community such as National Night Out, Museum Of The Waxhaws, performing at music appreciation at local schools, and charities for fundraising at Union Academy. The owner Steve Hicks is a Dove Award Nominated Songwriter, Music Leader at JMPC in NODA, and a performing musician for over 30 years. He loves to teach and pass his knowledge to others in a meaningful, caring, patient way, that allows his students of all ages to grow with their instrument of choice. It is a fun, relaxed, and safe environment, conducive to creating music and the pure enjoyment of making it happen.
