It has a much more inner city feel about it, and of course a great selection of beers. The other thing about this pub is that it is basically located on the wharf, which means that it has some pretty good views, particularly outside. The service was quite good as well, though of course the problem comes down to chosing the right pub.
Friday night dinner destination took an interesting turn where we found ourselves at this recently…read morerenovated establishment. As it was my first visit, I didn't have anything to compare it to. Those that have been here prior to the renovations said it was a massive improvement. I found the space well lit, airy and light with ship adornments around the place, clearly an ode to the Port. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night, which is disappointing to see. A sad sight in lovely Port Adelaide. We were seated and water was offered. We perused the menu and the specials board and made our selections in record time. Orders was placed at the counter which shares the same space as the bar. Food came out in a timely manner and was nicely presented. It seem every dish was praised for tastiness. I had the seafood platter for one, but asked for my fished to be grilled, which they obliged. My only gripe is the soft shell crab - that was a joke. It was the tiniest crab you can imagine. Would have prefered prawns in its place. Curry, blackened chicken, Wharf Tower burger, pie and chilli prawns was ordered. We were thoroughly full, thus it is safe to say that portion was on point. Even if we didn't go where we were meant to for dinner, the Lighthouse Wharf made a nice substitute. Happy to come back for breakfast or lunch in the near future. P.S. Being Mother's Day they had a set menu option which was fine for us. Service was great. They were very attentive in trying to accommodate our family of six with seating etc... If i was to be fussy i would say the mash was a bit on the dry side but thats being fussy and nothing the gravy didnt fix... Definitely would come here again and hope to be able to sample the normal menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

There would've been maybe 10 patrons in there if you were lucky. I went with my friend and a child so we placed 2 orders, my friend placing first and telling them that there was another order from our table. Her order came out as I was walking back to the table (least they were efficient, right)? But the poor 5 year old had to wait an extra 15 mins for her food to be brought out.... And it was burnt. Children's meals are meant to come with a sundae. We asked 3 times if we could have the sundae brought out to us before it was actually delivered. Horrible, in attentive service. I won't be returning. Also, no beer was available on the day, it didn't bother us as we weren't drinking but other patrons weren't too impressed

We didn't stop to eat, but I'll HAPPILY go back to give that a go, seeing some of the meals that came out.. NICE.. Things like a 2 person seafood platter. to sliders.. it all looked really nice.
