There were two staff members and Stanley Larsen, owner of Menemsha Fish Market, taking orders when our group walked in. Everyone was very friendly. I ordered a cup of the New England Clam Chowder ($6.25), Crab Cake Sandwich ($13.55), a hot stuffed quahog ($5.75), and a coke ($2.00). On the counter, there were samples of the New England Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque. They were both very good. The New England Clam Chowder was creamy like how I liked it and it had a good amount of potatoes and clams. I really enjoyed the Crab Cake Sandwich and stuffed quahog. The Crab Cake was stuffed and a good size. The quahog was buttery and had a good amount of stuffing. There are a few tables next to the fish market to enjoy your food. Later on, the owner shared his story of catching a great white shark in 1983 while swordfishing and showed us its jaws. If you are in the fishing village of Menemsha or Menemsha public beach, make sure you stop by Menemsha Fish Market. Restrooms are located adjacent to the parking lot in front of Menemsha Fish Market.

I stumbled across Edgartown Seafood Market on a whim, not craving anything in particular. I asked the guy behind the counter, "What are you known for?" Without hesitation, he said, "The bluefish spread." Let me tell you -- it hit the spot. Flavorful, fresh, and just salty enough to keep you coming back for more. We paired it with Wheat Thins and chips, and it instantly became a staple for us. Since that first visit, we've added their cole slaw and seaweed salad to our regular order -- both are fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. This is one of those places that makes you want to eat and shop like a local. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're on the island, this is a must-stop spot. Whether you're picking up seafood to cook or grabbing ready-made bites, they make you feel like you've discovered a Vineyard insider's gem. Verdict: Bluefish spread is the move. Stock up -- you'll regret not getting more.
