Typical Caribbean bar. Laid-back, friendly service. Not too far from the water and lots of local drinks to try.

Music was great. Service was fast. The bartender was nice. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Not a super hopping area and on a street vs. the beach or anything fancy like that. We saw a chicken or two wandering around also. But the staff and food were great, so that made up for the location not being the best. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super nice and helpful about which drinks might be good for us when we told him what flavors we were feeling. I had my first of many Island Summer Ale beers here (brewed in St. John). Served very crisp and cold in a frosty bottle. For food, I had the fish tacos (when in Rome - or on an island, in this case), along with tater tots. The tacos were tasty, with fried fish, lettuce, and a cheesy sauce on top. My friend had tacos too, but picked the beef protein, and chose the beans as her side. Her's also looked delish, so I would try those if I ever make it back that way. As we left (after dark), the bartender did us another favor. We almost got in the wrong car, thinking it was our taxi, and he ran out and grabbed us and said that was not a taxi at all! I'm not positive it would have been dangerous to get in the car, but it definitely felt like he saved us. If you're staying in the Havensight area of St. Thomas, and don't mind a sports bar style atmosphere vs. beachy vibe, then I would recommend checking out out Dog House Pub for the tacos and beer!

My husband got a burger and I got the chicken biscuit sliders, as well as corn fritters. Service was a little slow but we were on vacation and nowhere to be, plus our waitress was super friendly. When the food arrived, it was delicious, especially the corn fritters. We also ordered several alcoholic drinks, so when we saw the final bill we were honestly shocked how cheap everything came out to be. Would highly recommend!

I loved the whole concept of this business because who doesn't love slushy with rum. They have about 4 different flavors and you can try them before buying. So you pick a slushy flavor then you add as much rum as you would like. I thought this would be cool but the rum isn't that strong so I had to pour a lot just to get a buzz. This is still a good spot to come check out because they have some good slushes. They also have some t-shirts for sale and with some other tourist stuff.

The store has a nice selection of crummy t-shirts in a variety of sizes so no matter how large or small you are you will find something that fits. Some very cool and creative designs. But the really cool part of this place is the bar. The server was a ball of energy, laughing, joking and forcing free samples of different rums and drinks on you. You could tell that she enjoyed her job and loved talking with people. No pretenses or superciliousness here. You can walk in covered in sand and seaweed and have a good time. We were hot and tired and the ice cold drinks felt so good. Combined with the joyous, bubbly and the just plain sweet personality of the young lady working there, we soon we being loud and stupid and forgot all about our fatigue.. A place that is that a whole different approach from the usual tourist joint. You could have a great time in this place without even buying anything. Just a little place but one with a whole lot of fun inside.

Island life. Anyhow, we happened to notice the sign and walk down the thin alleyway to find this gem.  Drinks: Sorry, can not recall the price for mix drinks but I do know that they have 2 for 5.00 beers. This is a selection of four or five such as Coors light then prices go up to 1 for 6.00 depending on brand. Food: The "Shark Bites" (made w/Mahi Mahi) are very good. $10           The Coch fritters are also very good (his specialty). $12 for 12           The Fish & Chips...I would pass on. $6 This is the type of place where they treat strangers like you have been great friends for years. The owner/bartender/chef is a 76 yr. old guy by the name of Nala and he is great. He made an island special called the Bushwacker consisting of half a dozen liquors and it came with a great conversation ranging from comparisons to the U.S. and ancient Rome to Buddhist insights. Very cool guy. His sidekick by the name of Emilie was very cool as well lending a helping hand by cutting off some aloe branches that just happened to be in the bar to help my sister and I with our burns. I came with my sister the first time around and we agreed we needed to take my mother back. We did the next day and she loved it! Nala and Emelie made her feel at home with hugs and some free food ( Shepherds Pie. Not on the menu..yet ) that was very good by the way. All in all great spot for drinks and bar food. It is an indoor/outdoor beer garden so to speak with a bit of roof over the bar and palm trees over the table so it is even more enjoyable if it is raining. If you have any trouble locating it just ask a local as they all know.

We decided to take a chance and walk down the narrow alley which opens up into a lovely outdoor area, shaded by an almond tree. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful! My mom got a bushwacker and I got a margarita, both were really, really good! It's my mom's favorite bushwacker on the island! He also had a special concoction for a margarita, and he has perfected it!! To top it off, he cut me a piece of aloe from the plant by the entryway to soothe my sunburn! I will say, it took a long time to get the drinks, but we weren't in a rush to it didn't bother us at all! We'll definitely be back!

Hand down the best place to eat in the area. It's very small, but packs a punch with great customer service, cool drinks and outstanding food. Best to try and get in on their off hours to get a table without a wait. We literally ate here 4 times when we were on the island. An absolute MUST to order is their Bacon Jalapeno tater kegs! OMG-They're the bomb! Wings are decent and the burgers are juicy, flavorful and delicious! You really can't go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu. Everything is made fresh to order. The decor is island themed chaos in every fun way possible. If you happen to have to use the restroom it's located outside (customs ONLY) The key ring they'll hand you is a toilet lid! LOL You can ring in another way too! On your trip to the john, call in sick to work and stay on the island! You're enticed too by the retro phone sitting a top a keg outdoors as well. Great photo opts! Happy Hour is daily! The Love Shack offers particular deals with half-priced cocktails. We did Margs on Monday! Signature drinks include the 50oz Volcano Drink, Shark Attack, and souvenir cocktails like the Pirates Booty in a ceramic mugs. FYI- They may attach a certain creature to your glass also. Duffy's provides free parking which is a rarity and right at noon, the mall lot had tons of open spots. We both ordered burgers, one with the standard fries and one with onion rings. It took a good half hour for the food to be delivered but when we got it, it was hot and cooked to our specs. Fries were crispy. Burger was thick with a nice crisp, almost tasted like a smash burger but thicker. Service was good. It was the one spot where we didn't have to pay for a refill of soda. They were playing the best music! No waitlist or host so you have to linger and wait for someone to leave if you need a table and they are full. Great stop.
