Whiskey And The House Salad - A plastic cup filled with a carbonated beverage and ice, with a straw, is placed on a wooden bar counter. Next to it is a bowl of salad containing greens, chicken, and other toppings. The background shows large windows with bottles of alcohol on the windowsill, a black trash bag, and a countertop with a cash register and drink supplies.

Good bar that's as you guessed it, dockside. It has some pretty good views of the water. Dockside is one of the few places in Ottawa that's not a chain. Has a pretty basic bar menu. The drinks are pretty cheap, and food has some better options. After being here a few times, I can say the view is the best thing about it. It has a pretty nice patio. The river can be seen from inside too. Drinks are a good thing too, because these are real cheap. It's about $3 for the cheapest cocktail. They also have cheap shots. Food isn't as good. The House Salad is the healthiest thing. It's $7 for a small one. This did taste fresh though. Fried foods make up most of the rest of the menu. They have fish of course, since it's next to a river. For sure it's nothing fancy. Its nicest thing is the patio. The views are nice to look at while you get wasted.

Onion rings - The image features a serving of fried onion rings with a side of dipping sauce on a checkered paper-lined tray. A can of beer is placed next to a glass of water with a straw, and a menu from Dockside Bar & Grill is visible in the background. The setting appears to be outdoors, with a wooden table and a scenic view, including an American flag in the background. The menu lists various fried dishes and appetizers, indicating a casual dining environment.

Wonderful location on the river. Incredible patios multi level outdoor patios on the water. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Mooring for boats. Picnic tables, lots of parking There is no water access for swimming. Several stairs, one patio ground level. Good solid food killer onion rings. Closes October 27th for fall.

This is a hidden gem where locals hang out. The menu is simple with lots of fried goodies. We got bang bang shrimp, a side salad, and a pork tenderloin sandwich. The bang bang shrimp was a bit too spicy for me. The side salad with quite large but heavy on croutons, and the dressing was a packet. The tenderloin sandwich was ginormous! Definitely splittable. the Devil's Paint Bix IPA was delicious. The best part is defintely the views.

Good burgers, yummy fries, cheap drinks and two huge outdoor decks with views of the water. Was there two days in a row and drive out of my way the second day just to be there. Service could have been better but I did not mind. I'm sad I discovered this place at the end of summer. Next year I will come often to sit on their second story deck, relax with cocktails and catch some sun. I was told that some days they have a bands that play outdoors. I ordered a burger and I got to customize it, ordered my favorite toppings and cheese and it came with a huge side of fries and coleslaw. My entire meal was delicious!!!! I can't wait for next summer so I can go back

If you were coming here for drinks and appetizers/fried bar food, it would rate 5 stars. For two very hungry motorcyclists needing dinner, not that great. The service was prompt but inaccurate. Ordered steak sandwich with onion rings. Got fries. Ordered bang bang shrimp dinner. Got the appetizer. No "how was everything" no "would you like another drink". The food was OK. Not great, not awful. The ambience right on the river, with all the outdoor seating is terrific and the inside is well appointed and comfortable. Live entertainment on the weekend.

Stopped in for a bite after shooting at Buffalo Range. This place doesn't take cash but they have an ATM. We used to live down the street when it was H2O. They have since updated the place, thank goodness. The deck looks awesome! I ordered the Malibu chicken sandwich and it was huge with a heaping side of fries. The fries were a bit salty for my taste. The pickles here are delicious! My parents ordered burgers and they looked great. My husband also ordered a chicken sandwich and it was devoured quickly. They have plenty of dock spaces for your boat and we will definitely be back on our boat!

Wow! Ordered the backroad burger (bacon, onion rings, cheese) and it was the best burger I've have in a long time. Came with fries and slaw for only $9! Clean, riverside porch with good view and nice staff. Mac n cheese bites were great as well. Will come back if in the area again.

Simple little place with nice large patio on two stories and solid burgers, pub food, etc. Great view of the river.

Super fun. Nice views and they hooked up my e-bike to recharge while we enjoyed blue moons and fried shrimp.

Service has always been good when I went. I've probably gone under 10x and given enough tries at the new and old locations. Every time there's always something that goes wrong but I continue to come back because family and friends love it and I always try something else when I come in. Food is always edible most of the time but not great. I've had hair in my burger before. Other Burgers were overcooked and flavorless. Mac and cheese is disgusting. Sushi menu is kinda repeat and all fried / tempora. Pretty basic and boring and if you're gluten free you're kinda SOL. Crab Rangoon is imitation crab. Gross. This last time I went for a goodbye dinner to a coworker moving: Drinks- Table got a pitcher of white sangria- it was ok but way overpriced. I got the strawberry basil lemonade drink and it sucked. It lacked taste. I'n convinced it was water and not lemonade, nothing puree about it, & there was no basil in it besides used as a piece of decor. Sushi- I showed the waitress a picture of the roll I saw on someone review and that it claimed it was a Ottawa roll but it was not and 10/10 a different role that was given to me. Luckily I will eat anything and it actually wasn't bad but what the hell. Truffle fries- beer battered. Yuck. Mac & Cheese- I thought it used to be not bad but I got it this last time as a side and it was different noodles, thick, no creamy cheese sauce, & no seasoning. Dessert- 10/10 made the trip worth it. I hate fried ice cream and not a huge brownie person but that dessert was amazing. The beignet with caramel- yessss. I never get the hype of the food but think it's because there's not much around like this for locals. If someone wanted to go back I wouldn't not go but I am not a fan.
