Ordered the Haddock Fish with an order of chips and mushy peas. Fish was great! Chips were decent, not the best, but the fish was definitely the star of the show, cooked to perfection in a light, not overly oil-saturated batter. The kind lady behind the counter let me try a dollop of their gravy (it was wonderful)! Such a gem with good quality food in a no frills package! Great for a quick lunch or dinner as you're walking about and exploring the area. Would definitely come back!

I instead order a battered sausage and some chips. the ambiance was terrible with a thick clammy smell as if there was no airflow for years. Alright food but wouldn't consider going back until they figure out their problems and get their priorities straight and hire new faster less judging eyeing staff who clearly did not like my appearance and hope they figure out what the smell is and that they remove it immediately. really a shame about those because the food was great and five stars just wasn't worth the wait and the smell.

From the moment I stepped foot into the shop, I was greeted with warm smiles and a delightful aroma of freshly fried fish and chips. The menu at Tib Street Chippy offered a wide variety of options, catering to both traditional and modern tastes. I opted for their classic fish and chips, and I was blown away by the quality and flavour. The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chips were golden and had that ideal combination of fluffy interior and crispy exterior. It was truly a match made in culinary heaven. What impressed me the most, however, was the promptness of the service. Despite the busy evening rush, the staff at Tib Street Chippy managed to deliver my order in record time. They were efficient, ensuring that every customer received their food with minimal wait. The attention to detail and dedication to providing excellent service was evident in every interaction I had with the staff. Not only was the food exceptional and the service prompt, but the atmosphere at Tib Street Chippy was also inviting. The cozy seating area and charming decor added to the overall experience. It was clear that the owners and staff took great pride in creating a welcoming environment for their customers. In conclusion, I highly recommend Tib Street Chippy to anyone craving delicious fish and chips. The exceptional quality of the food, combined with the prompt and attentive service, make it a standout eatery. I can't wait to visit again and indulge in their mouthwatering offerings. Next time I'll try the sausage.

I don't like this approach as it makes it feel messy, and not a great place to eat in, and it makes me feel they are sacrificing quality and the nature of it being a fish and chip shop, by selling lots of other different things, making it more of a takeaway where you can sit and eat. The fish seems to be done fresh to order, as they don't do gluten free, I just came in with my friend who ordered his meal. He said he didn't enjoy it and it was very poor. Leo's Fish Bar rightly so are trying to try their best to survive in Manchester city center, even taking clubcard vouchers, but it isn't a very nice place to eat in, the staff don't seem too helpful and by selling so many foods, it ruins the nature of it being a homemade fish and chip shop, and when they is so many places to eat in Manchester, I really don't understand why someone would go to a takeaway, which doesn't even seem to know what it is doing. They didn't seem to have a gluten free menu either, and although it was reasonable, it could have been cleaner with nicer decor, especially in the seating and cooking areas.

Fish and chips are owned by the odd couple in every old miner town across the UK, the people who run them are local they usually know most of the customers. This then truely goes against the tide with people who don't really care and a standardised set of rules for all establishments. So how does it fair? The fish and chips is good surprisingly, nice and fresh. The prices are reasonable and the staff are ok, the place doesn't stink of thick grease and feels cleaner then your average chippy. It still leaves you with that sense of dread after you finish it off but ar well.

It's just that I seem to find it really hard to find traditional fish and chip shops nowadays. Usually their pizza/kebab/chicken and chips kind of places. Sure, I'll eat as much junk from these places as the next guy on a night out, but I miss some traditional fish and chips on a Friday night. There are less of these places around in the city centre. And that's why Dockers is pretty great. The prices are fine, and they concentrate on selling fish and chips that aren't half bad either. Excellent stuff.
