In addition to having a wide selection of beers from around the world (including Speakeasy!), they also have a several taps with rotating beers from both local and international breweries. The prices are a little higher than in the United States, but considering this is in Brazil, we were willing to shell out a few more dollars for some good stuff. For our first trip we tried a a Brazilian Imperial Stout from Schornstein and were impressed. It's not really an imperial stout, but it was far better than some of the other Brazilian stouts we've tried. Stop in, say hello to Bernardo, and grab some beers!

Go up the escalator (it's a self-starting one so if it isn't moving when you get on it - be prepared) and then take a left. They've got pretty much any kind of beer you want. Lately I've been stopping by to pick up some Ballast Point Sculpin (they've even got the new Grapefruit Sculpin IPA). There's a refrigerator as well, which obviously has chilled beer, or you can pick any off the shelves. The people who work there are friendly and speak English so if you're able to read this you'll be able to get by OK. The only downside is that it is very expensive for just a bottle. However, they have several rare brews that I haven't found elsewhere in Rio.

DRINK -FLORIS (FREISE)- florid is the brand and the fries is the strawberry kind. the beer was still a bit bitter and I could tell it was beer, but it did have a sweet take to it that made it possible for me to drink it with my friends and not feel like a party pooper who does not drink beer at a brewery. it was a good beer for me. food: -HOT COSTELA- this is a hot dog with 2 sausages some cheese and crispy fried onions, they had a choice of side sauce and this meal came with fries, I had the YESTERIA sauce and it was pretty ok, I could not pin point what it was made of, the sausages were really good but the bread and the cheese let me down a bit. in my opinion the cheese was not melter enough and the bread could have been at the very least heated up, they just took it out of the bag and sped the sausages and the cheese hoping the heat of the sausages was going to melt the cheese. I think that the temperature of the meal really ruined for me, this is a small change that will make a world of a difference if they start to heat up all elements of the hotdog. besides that as I said it has a great potential to be awesome. overall the place is brand new, the staff is very knowledgeable of the product they serve there it is pretty impressive, the place is super well refrigerated and they also have a tiny outdoor sitting area. the beers are great the choices are endless, just 2 negatives there for me, the temperature of that hotdog as I mentioned before and the price of the beers, these beers are not cheap, this is not a create night out by any means, this is a artisanal beer experience so keep it in mind. I will definitely come back here to see if the hotdog gets better in the future, this place deserves a second chance for sure. this is definitely a must for a first timer in RIO.

We got the round table in the front of the restaurant, it was perfect. The service was hors pair. The food was incredible, my coup de coeur was the tuna crudo on chips, OMG!!! We actually ordered 3 times that night!! LOL The drinks was fantastic but the bartender was the most non smiley server I have seen. :( The food was exquisite, I will go back!! But when i asked they said they would be able to get me fries. (so yay!). Besides the executive meal they have set options which come a meat and chicken with a sides. They say the serving size is for 3-4 people, and they range from R$140 - R$160 (if i remember correctly). Since we were a small group we went with the small executivo meals. Not only did they sell less beer, but they proved discriminatory based on appearances, lost two customers and earned this one star review. "Artisanal" comes from US microbreweries where clientele is earned through communal bonds, trust and friendship. This place is a rude caricature of this original movement.
