We had a fantastic time!
The tour was just my friend and I, led by Giulia who spent more than three hours walking us around her city. We made four stops along the way for nibbles and bites, getting cultural information and interesting sights and food tips and explanations of Veronese history. Giulia talked and talked and talked about this city that she clearly loves very much.
There was definitely plenty of food and wine to enjoy with two small bites and wine at the first stop, two second plates at the second (I've never had pasta with a sauce made from nettles before!), risotto, "scrambled codfish" with polenta and finally, a sweet pastry made with rice served with a proper macchiato espresso (not that sweet nonsense from Starbucks). Our food preferences were respected and there were definitely plenty of options.
Giulia (Yeah, I know. A girl named Giulia here in Verona. LOL!) provided more tips on where we should go for dinner, what to do for drinks, sites to see and all around recommendations on Verona. She is obviously passionate about food and knows the history and culture of it.
Five stars for Do Eat Better (my third DBE after Palermo https://www.yelp.com/biz/do-eat-better-experience-genova-2?hrid=lhDDlW9NU6VBNTaYNm7JNA and Strasbourg https://www.yelp.com/biz/do-eat-better-strasbourg-strasbourg?hrid=1QzK3X2b9QnuUM50G8F7Zw) and especially for the lovely Giulia.
Tip: I booked through the Delta SkyMiles Shopping Platform and Viator, earning a bunch of extra points for the purchase.
