I came to this event for Sip & Swap, where you bring your own plant and swap it with others. I loved the idea and had never been to North Park Nursery before, so I was excited to visit for the first time. The space itself is huge, with plants everywhere, from the left side to the back to the right side. They also have stickers, cards, and all sorts of plant-related items. All the plants looked really healthy, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The event even had drinks, like an agave drink, which was free. The vibe was great, and there's outdoor seating where you can relax and admire the plants. Prices range from about $20 to $70, depending on the type and size of the plant. I especially loved the section in the back called "plants that need extra love." These plants are 50% off, perfect if you want to rejuvenate a slightly struggling plant, and they even come with a vase, so you can care for it on your own schedule. They also have pet-friendly plants, which is great if you have dogs, cats, or other animals at home. Overall, I really loved this place. If you're a plant person, I would definitely stop by if you're in the North Park area.

She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping both her customers and their plants thrive. I left feeling supported, guided, and grateful for her advice. Make sure you give yourself enough time when planning on getting therWe found some street parking a couple blocks away and walked. Our instructor, Aurora, did a quick demo and then we were left to create our pieces. We had 3 balls of clay (give or take a half pound each ball) to work with and you get one free piece firing included with the class, and additional pieces to fire are $10 each. It's pretty autonomous but if you need help the instructor is there to assist you. After you create your pieces, you pick a glaze and then clean up the work station. The class is 90 minutes and it goes by quick, time flies when you're having fun!! ---- Overall: had a fantastic time creating pieces that will hopefully be functional ware, a great date idea, I can't wait to be back and try out their open studio times

Our class was on a really nice day, and for a super reasonable price, we got 1.5 hours on the wheel, which felt like the perfect amount of time. The wheel throwing class is either indoors (behind the plant shop) or in the back (half exposed garage). We were in the back and it was a good amount of space for our group of 4 people. There were more couples next to us as well. Also, I loved that they allow you to bring outside drinks to enjoy while creating, making it a fun and relaxed experience. Our instructor was great--attentive when needed but also gave space to explore at your own pace. This wasn't our friend time on the wheel, but we were with friends who were new to wheel-throwing, so he assisted when needed. I can't wait to see our finished ceramic pieces! Whether you're a plant lover, an aspiring ceramicist, or just looking for a unique experience, Botanica is definitely worth checking out. After your session, it's a good excuse to explore the streets of OB - especially on a very sunny day. I'll definitely come back another time.

They have an area also which I thought was considerate where you can leave your plant there in one area while you continue to shop and look around. They have staff available walking around working to ask any questions you may have about the plants or how to take care of them, which was very nice. They also had some local artists artwork of pots you can use and decor as well The plants were about average in price nothing outrageous than I saw compared to other plant stores . We found our plants and flowers well worth the price we paid. I would definitely go back again very nice nursery plants, flowers and trees.

I usually buy soil for my plants, but this last visit I needed some wood chips for my orchid, and when I asked if the bag that I saw came in a smaller size, they had a little bit left in a bag and they gave it to me!! I only needed like a handful for my single orchid and that just made my day! I then needed some soil for my indoor succulents and they were helpful helping me pick something out. I didn't get her name, but I always get this level of service every time in there!
