What is there to say about a DMV? It's never fun to go inside and I'm always reminded of LVP (IYKYK) every time I enter one. There were way many mask-less people packed inside with several sneezing and coughing. The entire place reeked and just felt dirty. I too was mask-less, so I hope I make it through the next couple of weeks and avoid the COVID-19. The only thing that I can say is that the employees that I dealt were very helpful and friendly and the counter staff were moving quickly to help their customers. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. I highly recommend the online appointment I'll give it 3-Stars because of the staff and online appointment service. Everything else was terrible.

I dont think I've been to the DMV for at least 4-6 years especially that location. I actually only waited about 20 minutes before I got called up to Window #9 and a representative named, Michelle helped me. We learned that we both Had the SAME exact birthday. I had started out addressing a concern to her about these 2 random guys wearing masks (hazmat type) and uniforms who were outside recording people and getting in their faces as youre walking in and a lot of us gals were VERY uncomfortable. Not sure who those guys were there but it was unnerving. Michelle apologized (not her fault) and made me feel heard. She went and told several coworkers and her supervisor about those guys. She even told me to go out the back exit to avoid them. I saw the Supervisor actually addressing those guys and telling them to stay away from people who were trying to come inside. Michelle was very sweet and soft spoken and just so easy to talk to and it made my experience very pleasant besides those guys recording people outside.

When the doors open and the mad rush starts, you have to stand in line first to figure which line you will be standing in next, the super nice gal asked me for my 6 digit code, what code? You are supposed to go onto the DMV web site before you go and create an account and then let DMV know why you're coming.I did not the 6 digit code so my next line to stand in was the line with all the other folks who did not have a 6 digit code. After I got my 6 digit code I got back in line, this is my 3rd line , so I could let the gal at the first line I was in know that I had a 6 digit code now, fantastic! She said, now go sit until your number is called, about 30 minutes later my number was called and the gal at the window helping me with my class A drivers license was amazing, funny thing, I needed a new picture so off to line 4 I went. Line 4 was short and the gal was equally as nice as the others , after my picture I waved good by to everyone and wished them a wonderful day . Unfortunately we got Stephanie on window 5 who refused to let my husband help me by asking questions that I didn't think to ask. So he needed to tell me his question and I had to relay the question to her bc she wouldn't deal with him. She rolled her eyes a few times. She was short and impatient with her answers when we asked her questions. She treated us like we are couple of dummies. A DMV representative came out and said that we had to scan in order to get a window number and then kept directing people to go online, they literally did not want you to come into the office. It was some real simple DMV work, which included registration and drivers license and when I finally got up to the window, another person told me I could've done it online. I explained I wasted numerous hours trying to do it online and their website did not work. I finally got it done but not before realizing DMV is worse than ever. Why have an office if you don't help people. Plus when we checked at 8, of the 20 something windows, only 4 employees were working!!! FOUR... This is typical right now of the state of California and Department of motor vehicles. I do not want you to do anything in person. They want you to do everything online because, let's just call it what it is, they are more lazier than a person collecting welfare walking out to the mailbox to get their check. ( wait welfare now direct deposits the money). For people without computers or laptops or cell phones, especially elderly people, you have to go all the way back to Window A to fill everything online at their office and then get in line.. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER!! So make an appointment, make sure you bring all your proper paperwork, including stuff they don't tell you about, and it'll go a lot faster.
