After having a stroke in mid March, my father and I came to get a temporary handicap parking pass. The process was smooth and quick. Additionally, I had to add my father to my car title since it only listed my name and I currently cannot drive. We should have had an appointment for changing the title. We also arrived about a half an hour before closing, which I know can typically be frustrating for employees. Not only were Jaqueline and Anna polite and patient, even encouraging us to take our time, numerous other employees jumped in to further assist. All were beyond helpful and personable. End of last year my license was expiring soon and I needed to renew it ASAP. This location was the only location available that had appointments that same day. ( They always have multiple appointments available for multiple days). Once I got there I was in and out within 15 minutes tops. I will easily take the 30 min drive from Aurora to Plano just so I can have a pleasant experience. They need to keep up the great work!! Even though I've been a resident for over 10years now, I needed to contact my home state and Springfield to be able to obtain a license. In working with the supervisors finally I was able to get it all squared away but I was sent away twice in one day over nothing but a system error. When all that needed to happen was a very nice supervisor (guy) needed to do was call Springfield to clear-up the systems error. Fixed in 2 minutes. I do not know anyone that loves the DMV but I will say I like the fact that it is a predominantly black facility with ample parking and even though it took me 3 tries over the course of 5 hours to get a license. I would still probably go back just much better prepared. I haven't had a need for this service since 2013.
