Decided to go to Gold's Gym as they have many weight lifting stations to cater to my needs. If you're just here for cardio and other miscellaneous exercises, I think it'd work for you uses. The in person and virtual smaller class sizes make a big difference with more personalized attention. I truly hope the members are not paying the same price as we do in Clinton. It feels like it was an old gym that OneLife came and bought. I went midday and it was not crowded. They have all of the machines you would need but about half of the machines look like they were from the 90s. I would come again but I think with many other gyms close by, I would think they need a bigger space and more updated equipment.

I pay way too much monthly to come into a one life gym that still has this style of equipment. Maybe because my home gym is for totten but this is ridiculous. I legitimately had to work out with a shirt over my nose and ended my workout early because I couldn't stand it anymore. The layout of the gym is always chaotic as hell. Yes there's a lot of machines, they are all old maybe 10% of what's in here is "new". Studio has no fans, neither does group studio. That makes no sense to me. It's small, but it's a good option on cold days when you'd rather NOT get on a treadmill. This is a pretty big Y! I was here to perform a PT test for some applicants. They allowed us to use their space, which is great. Kenny at the front desk was very helpful in pointing me to where I needed to be. The trainer was also very helpful in assisting us with dedicating one lane of the track to the applicants. I would love to work out here. I didn't do a full tour, but I never met a gym I didn't like! There was plenty of equipment and again, the indoor track is a plus. I saw women in what appeared to be an aerobics class and I must say, that room is huge! There's plenty of space for anybody who wants to join a class. It's also very bright and airy. I see that they also have childcare which is huge! I saw them playing outside. It appears to be a pretty spacious area. Some kids were down on the basketball court going through a workout. Too cute. But yeah, I'm a fan of the Y and this one looks pretty inviting.

There is a recovery room with therabody hyperice compression pants and other cooling and heating recovery tech. Staff are super friendly and there to answer any questions. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a really decent gym. It is a bit far from where the in-laws live but nice to come once in a while when in town.

So I've been trying out all the locations in the area and going to use a similar fair review format for each because every PF location seems VERY different. Location: Sterling south right off 28 near the airport. Very inconvenient service road access and weird wrap-around parking. However, inside this is a huge facility with lots of space to work out. 3/5 Cleanliness & Maintenance: Overall, clean, new and bright inside. There was a guy actively mopping the locker rooms and wiping stuff down, and I saw other staff proactively wiping equipment down. 5/5 Equipment Availability & Condition: Good range of weights and equipment, though some cables seem to be 2:1 ratio and kettlebells, EZ bars, etc., don't go up very high. They had at least 4 machines out of order including a couple leg machines that caused me loooong waits for leg day while teenagers looked at their phones on the machines forever. 2/5 Staff & Customer Service: Very friendly and helpful staff who seemed to be doing a lot around the gym other than just standing behind the desk. 5/5 Atmosphere & Crowd Levels: Moderately packed; mostly a diverse and late teens to mid-30s crowd; this location is so large the crowd size is not a huge issue though, if they'd fix the broken equipment. 3/5 Amenities: No available hydromassage beds or chairs between what was being used and several being out of order. The lady at the desk told me "we only have one working unit" in a way that seemed like that was just normal and they never maintain them? Feel like that part of the black card advertising is a scam because PF does not seem to maintain them at all. They had a coin-operated massage chair limited to 10 minutes, however, it doesn't even recline at this location. 1/5
