I hired Derek to remodel my porch. I paid for materials up front and paid cash for labor at his request as the work was completed. Derek never actually showed up to the job, just sent incompetent people who did not know what they were doing. The install is terrible. Nothing lines up, Trex boards are warped, there are big gaps, some of the posts are not on the concrete forms, hardware was stripped due to things not being cut to the correct length, etc. The crew spent large amounts of time on their phones and standing around. Some materials arrived damaged. Derek said he would replace them, but never did. A large portion of the railing and decking was never delivered. Derek made excuses that his guys messed up, that he spent all the money. He refused to provide me with receipts after asking multiple times. He offered to install the balance for free if I purchased the materials again. The flashing was installed incorrectly causing damage to the interior of my home. The nightmare ended when Derek said he was fling bankruptcy and they just left my porch a partially finished sloppy mess. read more

I hired DMB to redo my siding, kitchen cabinets and install a bathroom tub in place of a shower stall. Derrick and Bubba came to my house shortly after contacting the company and sold me on a lot of promises. Unfortunately, they weren't the ones sent to do the work. I got very inexperienced contractors (one was only on the job 4 days). The trim on my outside windows isn't sealed. It is popping out. They sided over the wiring for my outside light. The kitchen cabinets are not lined up. The bathroom is the worst. Derrick ordered the wrong tub and it was installed anyway. So the plumbing is on the outside wall. I am worried about pipes freezing this winter. The tiles are crooked. The floor tiles are all uneven and the grout is crumbling. They worked 2 full weeks out of 2 1/2 months. The rest of the time is was a day or two a week. With very little to no communication. Derrick decided to charge me labor by the hour rather than by the job as he quoted me in a signed estimate. This drove up the price by over $10,000. I terminated the contract after the last time he tried to send me a bill for more than what was quoted and not inline with the 3 payments outlined in the contract. The contractors were sloppy. They poured the tile water on my deck (see picture). I cleaned up their trash every day. I also cleaned up the job site daily for the safety of my family. On July 12, 2023, (2 1/2 months into the job), I sent Derrick an email with my concerns and photos of one guy taking supplies I paid for, as well as, all the trash (food, chewed gum, cigarettes) that I cleaned up regularly. He never offered an apology or even an acknowledgement of my concerns. It even took him 2 weeks to send someone over for their tools. Please look elsewhere for your contracting needs. I was constantly cleaning up their mess and unsafe space. I had to clean up their trash, food, clothes, building materials that they left on site. Derrick, the owner didn't follow through of 90% of his verbal promises. he said he'd reimburse me for one small part of the project but then blocked me. blocked my number. blocked my social media and deleted my customer review from his page. read more
